Pacific Beach Pet Salon and boarding

Pacific Beach Pet Salon and boarding A San Diego original since 1962! Home of the $20 bath/nails special for small short haired dogs by We moved! Sorry we wont be taking new clients at this time.

Same salon with new owners. We are now open by appointment only. We are doing personal grooming, that means we will only groom one dog at a time from the time they arrive until they go home so they will have our full attention. We enjoy bonding with our furry clients. We also offer small dog sitting in our home. I'm sorry but we no longer groom cats.

Many of you have seen Samantha's latest post and are asking how to help. (If you haven't, well, we spent $11k getting the bus fixed, only to have it breakdown again, outside Houston. We're trying to get the cats back to Georgia, while Samantha stays with the bus.)

Honestly, we are out of money. We were planning on making money on this tour, not spending thousands more on the bus. 😭

We have CashApp: $rockcatsrescue

We also still have the bus wrap fundraiser going: https://donorbox.org/tour-bus-wrap-fundraiser

Also also, we still have our original GoFundMe for the scam, a well as other ways to donate, here: https://rockcatsrescue.org/donate

We know we have asked for money a lot during the pandemic, and even if you can't help us financially, if you would help us spread our story, we would be ever grateful. One day we hope to have a functional bus again, one we can travel the entire country in, and that will happen because of the generosity of everyone who has supported us. Thank mew! 💜

In Honor of my Friend and Mentor
Your Dad
Gil Najera

In 78 I started working my summers and weekends for almost six years. My father’s good friend was the owner of Pacific Beach Pet Center ( near Garnet and Lamont)
I would never be the same. I was treated like his son - wisdom imparted every time he spoke. I’d forgotten so much about those times.
Friday I was compelled to call the shop - his daughter continues his life’s work. We spoke again and so many memories came back hearing her voice again.

The last visit and photo was February 5, 2012.

Truly a father figure that was always honest and truthful in his mentoring of a (then) shy introvert like myself. He Never lost his patience with my awkwardness and fears. Heck he even was the one who taught me how to drive.

Friday would have been his 83rd Birthday

I had no idea until his daughter told me.
I had no idea why I was compelled to call.

Now I know

Rest In Peace My Friend and Mentor Gil Najera

When you're decorating for Halloween this year, please keep our wild neighbors in mind. Fake spider webs and other decorations made of entangling fibers on the outside of your home can easily trap wild animals, and they may not be able to break the material to free themselves. We also recommend avoiding decorations with loops or closed circles, as foraging animals can inadvertently put their heads through a loop or circle and choke themselves while seeking a meal.

Once you have found an animal to adopt, click the button “Adopt me” found on the animal’s individual webpage. This will begin the process of creating an Adopets account. (Hint: After creating an account, you may “save” more than one animal to come back to later.)

Thanks to BISSELL Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters Holiday Hope campaign, adoption fees for adult cats and dogs are just $25, December 9-13! Dogs like Carson (682539) would love nothing more than a new home for the holidays. Visit sdhumane.org/adopt to see Carson and other furry friends, and to schedule an adoption appointment. New appointments are opened two days in advance.
