There will be no shipping the week of Christmas. Please plan ahead. Be aware that all the carriers are having problems right now. Some of my East Coast USPS orders have routed through Alaska and through Wyoming. UPS cannot commit to its delivery estimates. Even if you don’t buy from me, plan ahead because I am sure all the others vendors are seeing the same challenges. Plan ahead!

Because of the recent UPS plane crash, the FAA has grounded all MD11 planes until they can all be inspected and cleared. This has GREATLY affected FedEx and their ability to transport packages.

After monitoring this week, these markets are experiencing the worst delays (3 to 4 day delays) and should be avoided until further notice:

Ontario/CA
Seattle/WA
Miami/FL
(These are the RAMPS, so any package going to a destination that is serviced through these locations will be affected. It is NOT just packages that have Miami, Seattle, and Ontario as the destination.)

Alaska
Arizona
Missouri
Texas

Avoid these states COMPLETELY.

If you choose to ship, your package WILL be delayed and there is NOTHING that can be done, so please, DO NOT SHIP!

PSA: USPS is once again not scanning the shipments when received. As you can see from my screenshot, the item wasn't scanned until it basically reached the delivery location. During the holiday season, December into January, this is the norm and not the exception. PLAN FOR DELAYS! This goes not just for me but for all the other folks getting or shipping items via USPS - Have Patience! Once the item leaves our hands, we cant control it.

Another bit of information: The only methods that have GUARANTEED DELIVERY SLA are UPS Overnight, 2nd Day or 3rd Day. USPS only has EXPRESS with an SLA and that is 1-2 day delivery so it's really not express. Here is the official stance from the USPS on Priority 2-3 day service:

"In most cases, the expected delivery date printed on your receipt or provided at checkout will reflect a delivery time of 2-3 days and is based on origin, destination, and drop-off time. The expected delivery date does not come with a money-back guarantee. "

What that means is even if they say 3 day and it takes a week, they're not responsible and neither are we, as the shippers. This doesn't mean we will not work with you, it means please don't come angry at us for something we cant control.
