USPS Rate Change July 2025
Starting July 13th, 2025, USPS is changing rates for most domestic services, including Ground Advantage and Priority Mail

USPS announced rate changes for domestic services starting on July 13th, 2025. This year's changes are all over the place, with some Priority Mail shipments increasing by up to 51%, some services staying the same, and some decreasing by small amounts.

Summary of the July 2025 USPS rate changes
Here's how rates for each domestic USPS service will change starting July 13th:
Ground Advantage
Most Ground Advantage shipments won't see a rate increase 🎉 That said, Ground Advantage shipments under 1 pound will increase by an average of 4.5%, and shipments over 20 pounds will increase by a flat 2.8%.
Priority Mail
Priority Mail rates are increasing in most cases, with shipments to Zones 4-6 increasing by up to 51% 😱 Generally speaking, Priority Mail shipments under 1 pound will see the highest rate hikes, and rates will increase by up to 28% for packages over 1 pound.
However, some Priority Mail shipments will decrease: rates for 2-3 pound shipments traveling to Zones 1-4 will decrease by up to 6.5%, and some Priority Mail Cubic shipments going to the same zones will decrease by up to 10%.
Priority Mail Flat Rate
The Flat Rate Envelope is the only Flat Rate product not increasing in price. All other Priority Mail Flat Rate services will increase by the following amounts:
Padded Flat Rate Envelope: +4%
Legal Flat Rate Envelope: +9%
Small Flat Rate Box: +3%
Medium Flat Rate Box: +11%
Large Flat Rate Box: +7%
Media Mail
Media Mail rates are decreasing by an average of 2%.
Priority Mail Express
Priority Mail Express rates are not changing.
