This is Evie! She came to us with fear aggression to strangers being near or in her house. Her parents have been unable to have guests over with Evie because it was so stressful for everyone including Evie. She has been working so hard on her stranger danger and her parents have made us so proud with their understanding of the training techniques and their hard work!! Evie started with the goal of being comfortable with one new person in her home, then 2, and she has now made it to 3 people in her home at the same time while she is happy and relaxed!
Evie started working on adding more people into her friend circle and is doing so well!
Yay Evie!!! So proud of all of you!!!

This sweet Belgian Mal is named Chaos. Yes… Chaos! She loves people, loves walks but was having some issues with other dogs. We learned that Chaos is actually quite dog friendly but she just prefers a slow intro.

Ruby got her trick title!!!! She was fearful of people, new places and many other things. Ruby has worked sooo hard on her confidence building! She would give up very easily instead of learning a new trick so this title is HUGE!!! Congratulations Ruby!! So proud of you!!

How cute are these two!?? came to us for his leash aggression towards dogs. His brother loves to be his brothers back up… and he loves to pull with all his might on walks.
We are using management techniques and different leash walking tools so that these two little cuties can be successful on their RV camping trips!

Ralphie a shepherd/greyhound mix came to us with fear aggression towards new people and new dogs. He has been working hard with his owners on confidence building and learning what works best for Ralphie to make new friends.
He’s been doing such a great job and his humans have reported that having people over has been much less stressful and he’s making new friends!

Breeds! Certain breeds were originally bred for certain behaviors. Do you know what breed this little girl is in the pink sweater? Do you know what they were originally bred for? Hint: it’s the common complaint about the breed today. Remember not to get an alert barker when you live in an apartment with crappy insulation!! 😂

Some dogs don’t like to go out in the rain… some owners don’t like to go out in the rain.
So sometimes rainy days = accidents.

Even with long walks in the rain your pup may not fully empty their bladder So try not to be disappointed or surprised that your housebroken dog goes potty in the living room. ☔️🐶

Some breeds are considered to be low energy… while others are high energy. Some breeds are typically thought of as better suited for families, while others would rather chase and nip at kids heels and make it difficult to live that family life. So before you decide which type of dog is right for you… also take into consideration if you are right for the dog 🙋‍♂️🐶💁🏽‍♀️

Winston came to us with separation anxiety 😫
He was howling and in distress when left alone even for just a few minutes 😔

His owners have worked hard and now here Winston is sleeping comfortably while home alone! 😃 They are able to go run errands now and are slowly working him up to longer periods of time. 🙌 Great work 👏

It’s normal to growl! Growling is a warning sign from your pup that something is NOT ok! 🙅🏼‍♂️So if you scold or correct your dog when growling that is the equivalent of removing the yellow from a traffic light🚦or cutting the rattle off of a rattle snake 🐍🙀

One of the ZDT trainers plays fetch with their dog all the time and her partner had no idea that the dog even knows how to play 🤔🤣

What is the difference between good and bad behavior in dogs?

A farmer might love a dog that protects their yard from gophers… but another person may not want a bunch of holes in the backyard. 🙅🏼‍♂️

A person might want a dog to protect their property… but they also want to have company over 🐶🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏻‍♂️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏾‍♂️

We all have different ideas of what good and bad behavior might be 🤔💡

How cool do these dogs look 🤩 Malinois and Shepherds are some of the most active breeds there are! These dogs go to the beach every day where they dig, explore, and play for hours 😃🙌 The Malinois (Stevie Ray) also has a fabulous time chasing the jet skis at fiesta island!! 🤣

Remember to do your research on the breed that you are interested in to see if their energy level/life style fits with yours.

If you are getting your pup from a breeder, make sure to research the breeder. Find out if the breeder breeds for looks, personality or sport🤔 Does the breeder expose the puppies to novel things, sights sounds and textures to help set them up for life?

If you are looking into rescuing a pup, research that dogs possible breeds. Ask the rescue if they know where the dog came from and if they have any history on that pup.

Most people choose a dog based off of their looks…

Like humans all dogs are not the same! Some people enjoy sitting down at a restaurant 🍽 some enjoy a relaxing day at the beach 🏖and some would rather not leave their house ever! 🤣 Dogs are the same way! Try and pay attention to the activities your dog enjoys 🐶

Her shepherd Finn went from fearful and very leash reactive to much more calm, and confident! 🙌
He is walking the streets of north park like a pro because of moms amazing handling skills and work she has done!! Derdra’s hard work and consistency has her looking like a professional dog trainer! 🤩

Yes, we are a dog training company… but we also love kitties & creativity! This is an amazing example of making something fun for your pet for FREE!
Many people don’t want to spend $ to buy enrichment activities for their pet but as you can see, with a little creativity, it can be free!
Reply below with your dog or cats favorite home made toys so we can share the ideas so more pets can enjoy the fun!!
