Aggressive dog with 5 year old child
Proofing! Proofing is when we throw the dog into all kinds of situations to test their knowledge and strengthen their skills. Cloud goes home tomorrow and he was previously aggressive/reactive around children, other dogs and strangers. Today, Cloud visited the dog park and was walked by a stranger that we met there. The child is only 5 but Cloud leaned on his obedience and passed the test with flying colors.
Cloud being bomb proof around kids after just two weeks
Cloud being bomb proof around kids after just two weeks of training. Prior to this he would lunge, bark and and growl at children.
Child reactive Aussie submitting to toddler girls
Heel work, auto sits, auto downs while being walked by toddlers.
Two year old vs reactive dog!
Cloud being led back by two year old. He is calm and submissive with her. I’m driving the ecollar and he has safety equipment on just in case something happens. This is balanced training.
Toddler vs reactive Aussie
Cloud learning to be kid tolerant. He was reactive and dangerous with kids less than two weeks ago. Today he walks peacefully next to a two year old and four year old
Calm on command for reactive Aussie (Cloud)
Welcome Cloud! Cloud is here for reactivity towards kids and strangers. He has never bitten, but his bark is scary! Clouds owners have worked very very hard and went to a positive only trainer asking for help, who turned them away. Cloud is actually very very well trained but he’s rude and afraid and uses his behaviors to scare people away. He barks at his owners, strangers, and children and has to leave the house if his owners have company over. Clouds owner found balanced training and accomplished a ton but was limited with time as well as training. So he is here to make more progress on what she has already accomplished. Up until yesterday, the below situation was completely unattainable. Today, he sleeps peacefully while kids run by him.
First respect, then affection
FIRST comes respect, then comes affection. I fall in love with the dogs I do board and trains with. But I’m tough on them. They come to me needing structure, respect, and sometimes the fear of God.
Welcome Bruce!
Pushy, sassy, growls, barks, knocks people over, pulls on the leash, rushes out of the car, hurts himself and others from being pushy.
Recalls at the dog park and how I start getting distance!
Woo! We made it! After much shenanigans we finally got to run in the park. Excuse me for being out of breath, wrangling two giant dogs is a ton of work!
Does your dog bolt out of the car?
Bolting! Ugh! I hate when dogs bolt out of cars, through a door, into or out of their kennels! It’s dangerous, frustrating and can be hard to fix. Here is a Berner who decided to bolt out of the car and how I fixed it. I’ll post the second half in the comments.
Weight gain and loss for dogs and how I do it.
What’s on my mind? Weight for dogs and how to manage it. I talk about how to add and subtract weight from your dog.
What’s on my mind? Adding or dropping weight on dogs!
I have one dog in training that needs weight and one dog in training that needs to loose. Keeping our dogs at a lean healthy weight is CRUCIAL for long healthy lives. So let’s jump into it!
