With all pets, and especially birds, always be careful in the kitchen during holiday cooking. Burning foods, fumes from overheated non-stick pans, and hot stoves / pots and pans can be physical health hazards, as well as harmful to their sensitive respiratory systems.

Happy Owl-oween! Our owl finches may not be spooky, but they're very cute! The parrots are also enjoying their own Halloween pumpkin treat today!

We have a few beautiful Red-factor canaries now available. Canaries like these have a genetic component that allows them to develop the red plumage from their diet. Foods high in beta-carotene (carrots, red bell peppers, sweet potato, beets, cherries) and canthaxanthin supplements fed during their molting period will help them retain this rich color.
