Be still our beating hearts 💗 We've fallen in love with this month's Pets of the Month feature and we know you will too! Take a moment to meet the fantastic pets available for adoption through our San Diego Animal Welfare Coalition shelters and rescue groups:

🐰 At first, this lovely lady might be a bit shy, but give Luna the right toys — like wooden chews — and her personality will blossom! Luna is very curious and loves to observe her surroundings. While she's not the biggest fan of being held, she will happily accept gentle pets and will flop down next to you for a good lounge. If you’re ready to offer Luna the love and patience she deserves, she’s eagerly waiting for her person at San Diego House Rabbit Society, Inc.

Adopt at sdhumane.org/petsofthemonth!

We wanted to send a shout out to for donating eye meds to Darla and Lou! Our two senior ladies have chronic eye issues and they are on eye meds for the rest of their life. We greatly appreciate the generosity of our supporters. We could not support the bunnies without your help. ❤️ Thank you so much!!!

For an adoption, this is why one of our requirements for our potential adopters is that they set up a 4' x 4' x pen with a minimum height of 30" with access to a larger out to play area. A cage or hutch does not provide adequate space for a rabbit to be happy and comfortable and does not leave enough room for all of the items a rabbit requires. Cage living can lead to boredom, disengagement, behavioral issues, cage aggression, and depression. Look at SDHRS adoptable rabbit zoom around in his pen! The SDHRS rabbits are in a rotation to get out to play time to get more space to play. For more information about general rabbit care https://sandiegorabbits.org/general-rabbit-care,

Our Story

San Diego House Rabbit Society is a volunteer-driven, nonprofit rabbit welfare organization that works with local shelters and humane societies to care for and find homes for abandoned domestic rabbits. All rabbits are spayed or neutered, litter box trained, and adopted to homes where they live as indoor family companions.
