Emm horse ride 15
Long video cut down to 1 min of what we have been working on, lots of leg control.
Trying to keep her super soft and listening to my legs instead of hands.
This is horse is incredible! I’ve never even tried using a pole like this before but it sure makes your cues correct!

We loved this amazing spring weather today!
Here’s the training horse updates 🤩
Bonnie, shown here, had her first day wearing a pad and cinch. She was a very good girl! She is listening and thinking so much! When she is started under saddle she will be available for adoption through @mountian meadow horse rescue! She’s so cute and affectionate! She’s going to make a great horse for someone!
Spencer, the huge OTTB, has progressed in learning to self soothe a bit. He is so wound up tight he forgets to breathe and follow a leader (his human). He has definitely made progress in thinking and starting to relax.
Kynan, the older pinto Mustang has been carrying tack and now is picking up his feet with ease. Time for ground driving this week!
Riley, the hunky QH, got his teeth floated and had a few days off from weather, then recovery. He will ne back to work tomorrow and I’ll get updated videos of how he’s working! (Still seeking a new address 🎉)
Arrow, the 4 year old mustang, arrived tomorrow to start his training career!
Kestrel goes home tomorrow after a few months of training. He is definitely one of those horses that takes time, consistency and constant direction. He came so so far in a short time. I’m so happy he can head home and be safer, have a small start under saddle, and has a foundation to build upon for his next owner! If anyone is interested in a dressage/jumping Mustang project (and has the skills to train or funds to send to a trainer) he has so much potential!!

Training horse #4 is SALLY!
She’s here for a tune up in arena and trail. She arrived yesterday and has been sitting for a bit.
Her latest ride she spooked badly at an ATV on trail and her momma got hurt.
She’s going to spend about a week in the arena getting some manners back, and then we are hitting the trails and exposing her to every sort of scary moving off road thing out here.
Adopter fell through! Bring them home! I have three available!

Today was day 9 for the little feral yearling... wow, what a difference! She got ponied off the back of an ATV and stayed right with me and never pulled, and then she got her feet trimmed by the farrier! We was joking before that no way would she get done today since she was so wild previously... then he said he’d only take a bit off, and he ended up being able to trim and file her 100%
The little (huge) feral filly I’ve been working with. Today was day 4, desensitized to bags and scary things and started picking up front feet.
Baby Masi is now 6 weeks old and getting quite good at body control and small cues. I works her for about 15 min every few days.
