Follow more for weekly dog training tips and tricks! This 2 second training trick will change your dog’s behavior forever! 👇
All you need is 2 things:
1️⃣ Your dog (obviously)
2️⃣ A target stick
Here’s what to do:
This training technique is beyond simple. All you want your dog to do is touch the end of the target stick and then reward!
If you want to get fancy with it, you can try and get your dog to do a spin (and then reward).
So what’s the point? The simplicity of getting your dog to touch the stick and then giving them a reward actually acts almost as the most basic training possible; do this, get a treat! But by teaching your dog this basic method, you can now start moving into more in depth training moves like sit, place, etc. Get yourself a target stick and see for yourself just how useful they can be!🐕🐾

How to teach place for peace in home
This is my absolute favorite toy for tug-of-war! 🐶🧸
✅ The Flirt Pole! Here’s why:
The bungee cord on the flirt pole is designed for the correct way to play tug-of-war. When your dog is strong and pulling hard, it allows them to win! When your dog is weak, the bungee snaps back and allows you to tease your dog with the feathering on the end of the pole. Its basically a dog-cat toy.
Try it out and see just how much your dog and training benefits from something as simple as toy! 🐕🐾

Ecollar basics thanks to @be_pack_leader
Think your dog loves tug-of-war? They might actually HATE it! Try this instead to ensure your dog is having a good time👇
1️⃣Most dogs loose interest because their owners pull too hard and don’t let them win. Here’s the secret: let them win! 🐶
2️⃣Here’s what you need to do: use a gentle tugging motion and avoid snatching the toy away completely.
3️⃣ When your dog pulls, let them win! And when they’re weak and not pulling, steal the toy and tease them with it.
You want it to be competitive; sometimes your dog wins & sometimes you win! Tug of war is great for boosting your dog’s confidence and is also amazing for behavioral training in regards to distractions.
Try this next time you and your dog play a game of tug-of-war! 🐕🐾

This is why you absolutely NEED a leash! ⛓️💥
All of the featured clips in this compilation are proof that you need a leash on your untrained dog.
If they’re not trained, you need to teach your dog PERSONAL SPACE and obedience.
Crate training and place training can save you a lot of time, money, and prevent any damages from an untrained dog.
Try this with your dog to prevent anything and everything seen in this video:
1️⃣ Place Training: If you can teach your dog the “place command” then both you and your dog can respect each other’s personal space.
anyt
2️⃣ Crate Training: If you know your dog acts up, goes crazy, and gets the zoomies when you’re trying to enjoy your dinner, temporarily put them in their crate!
3️⃣ The Tie-Out Method: Simply tying your dog’s leash to a doorknob or something secure in your home and making them stay there till they’re calm can have a fantastic impact on your dog’s basic obedience.
Yes, some of these videos are very funny to watch, but I’d be pretty mad if my dog broke my TV, laptop, coffee table, and mirror.

Are you tired of your dog not returning the ball when you want to play fetch with them? Try this trick instead ✅🎾
1️⃣ You absolutely NEED to teach your dog the “drop” command. If your dog doesn’t know how to drop the ball when you want them to, they might get frustrated and stop playing. 🐕
2️⃣ Teach them the “drop” command by using two balls. Throw the first ball, and when they return, say “Drop” and then show them the second ball. 🎾
3️⃣ When your dog drop the first ball, mark it with a “get it” telling them to get the second ball when you throw it.
Tag a friend who needs to fix their fetch game! 🐕🐾🎾

Max has not eaten outside. We got him to eat for the first time out today a helpful tip inspired by Gonzalo. @thehumandogteam was to start in an area where he will eat, which was the car and then encourage him outside of the car and try to reward them immediately out into the foreign location and use the car as a homebase. Eventually, we can use a placemat and we can use his home front door as a starting point.
