With a little planning and communication, you can ensure your pet has a safe and enjoyable time while you are away!

Do you travel with your pet for the holidays? Or do you prefer to leave them with a sitter?

With the Holidays around the corner we know this could be a stressful time for pets and pet owners.

Here’s our top five tips to help ease the holiday stress. We feel proper preparation can make the experience easier for both you and your furry companion.

1. Schedule a meet and greet with your sitter.
If you were using a sitter for the first time, make sure you arrange a meet and greet to give your pet a chance to get familiar with the Sitter. This will allow you to ask them questions and make sure you go over your pets routine. Pets thrive unconscious so share your pets usual routine with the Sitter in this includes feeding times walk times play times etc..

2. Update your pets information.
Before you leave make sure your pet information is up to date. If your pet is microchipped make sure that information is correct as well. List all the vet information and updated vaccinations. Give your sitter a list of emergency contacts. It’s also a good idea to leave instructions on how to handle a common pet emergencies.

3. Be honest about your pet’s behavior.
Is your pet reactive with other animals? Does your cat need extra time to warm up to strangers. Honest communication with your pets timberman and News will help your sitter provide the best care possible. If you know, your Pet might need a bit more patience or special attention. Let the sitter know so they could be prepared.

4. Stay in touch.
while you were away, stay in touch with your Sitter provide contact information and don’t hesitate to ask for updates, especially if your Pet is staying overnight. Regular check-in can help give you a peace of mind and ensure you pet is settling in well.

5. Pack your pets essentials.
Make sure you pack all of your pets essentials. It’s favorite blanket a dog bed, favorite toy, even their favorite treats. if you know your Pet gets a little anxious when you leave town for a few days leave a piece of clothing that smells like you an item of yours behind will help a dog feel a little less anxious.

With a little planning and communication can make your trip enjoyable for both you and your pets.

Friends, most of you know, I have been volunteering more than full time helping Ukraine to win the war, which impacted how much time I spend on Paradise Pet Care. To be very honest, for the last two years I haven't put much time and effort into marketing, and wasn't doing a very good job managing day to day things as well. Luckily I have an amazing Admin Assistant Holly Frost, who really saved my business from literally falling apart. 2022 was a rough year for me with the beginning of the war, and I wasn't very helpful with checking emails or text messages, and my admin staff was a bit overwhelmed. And due to slow response to people we got couple 1* reviews on Google. Most folks don't understand how much these reviews can impact a small business, so giving a 1* review to someone who actually didn't provide any services for you, is pretty mean, I think 3 stars would be fair, lol. Never the less, the only way to fix those is by getting more good reviews. So if any of you here have received pet sitting services by Paradise Pet Care, and you have good things to say, please be so kind to take couple minutes and leave a review us on Google. Thank you!
