Happy National Black Dog Day! 🐕🦺🐾❤️You have to give all the black dogs extra love because they tend to be harder to adopt out of shelters and disliked by other dogs over other colors. Dogs are more likely to be reactive to black dogs because of the way they do and don’t see colors. The color black makes it difficult to assess body language.People are less likely to adopt black dogs these days because of a misconception that black dogs are more aggressive or people are concerned about a black dog shedding in their home.
