How awful! How do you steal a jar from a small rescue trying to find homes for their rescue pups! Hannah’s Southern Paws had set inside PetSmart in Mesquite on Saturday. Nonprofit founder Hannah Fugitt was collecting donations and trying to find a home for some of her rescues when a man grabbed the jar and took off. We received a call from a man about an abandoned box with puppies down a county road. They are currently at our outdoor shelter in San Diego Tx. They have been provided with lots of food and water, and have been vaccinated and dewormed. How awful to leave these tiny beings in the middle of nowhere! PSA: PLS SHARE SCAM RESCUES OF UGANDA ARE PREVALENT ALL OVER SOCIAL MEDIA. @missstellaparis Last weekend, after doing my January animal sanctuary donation to Katamba Benard of Shalom Innocent Souls and posting my receipt for transparency with you- I was approached by several animal rights activists who are knowledgeable of illegitimate shelters in Uganda. In my years of animal advocacy I have never come across such an atrocity. I thought I had seen it all, until I was made aware of this. I have spent a week researching and talking with people who are exposing these false shelters. I have gone on legitimate websites which warn of such places. Why is this not being spoken about on the news? Dogs are being held hostage, starved on purpose to look skinny, and inflicting nightmarish life threatening inj**ies to create an emotional appeal and create an urgency for foreigners to donate. There are crocodile tears and also in Katamba’s case the involvement of a young man with a deformity, who goes by the name of Isaac. This is a perfect recipe into pulling at your heart strings. These people are wealthy from the donations. None goes to vet bills or feeding. In fact, the total opposite as you see dogs deteriorating in their care. They do not use registered vets. Real sanctuaries show you the improvement of a dog’s health by documenting trips to legitimate vet clinics and including receipts for transparency. There are only 6 real legitimate sanctuaries that I have been made aware of by @wewontbescammed and other animal rights activists These are @ceda.pups @uspca_kampala @cat_cradle_rescue_uganda @animalkindint @thebigfixuganda @uniquelypawslimited The problem is that because the animals are well cared for and are well fed in the real sanctuaries , people do not donate as much as they do to the false ones!!
