GIVING for a PAWS: Before the year comes to an end please consider Pug Rescue. PRSDC is small but mighty! As a 501C3 charity - Your donation is tax deductible. We are an all volunteer based rescue 30+ years.

We rescue 150-300 pugs a year. Some simply needing new homes, others coming from neglect or abuse. Pugs requiring emergency surgery, or being pulled from a home of dog bait fighting and drugs. We have pugs who have lived in filth their whole lives, who have never met a vet, a pillow, or seen a clean food dish. Some days are filled with puppy kisses and happy endings, but others we shield our audience from because it should shatter your hearts, or get us kicked off social media.

Currently our plea for funds comes from a place of NEED - WE NEED YOU! We currently have 5 emergency surgeries in the bank! That is the best way to look at it. 5 emergency surgeries or 10 average medical issues. Maybe 6 spay/neuters and 2.5 surgeries and a discounted dental?

No matter you spread the math… our accounts currently stop us from saving more than 10 dogs right now.

Meet Bonnie! A 4 year old mix who is the sweetest girl! Miss Bonnie has had a long journey; she flew from mid-Mexico to Tijuana and then driven to San Diego after being relinquished. Pug Rescue helped out another rescue and took her in!!
Bonnie is a quiet, well behaved girl who would do great in an apartment! She is learning to let you know when she has to potty but is using potty pads pretty consistently. Bonnie gets along with her foster siblings but doesn’t try much to play, preferring to find a toy to play with on her own ♥️ She’s had a clean bill of health and is ready to meet the perfect human to be her bestie! This little guy loves going on walks, playing with toys, and getting endless butt scratches!He's great with people and other dogs! would thrive in a family that can provide him with attention, care, and lots of love. Would do better in a home with older children.
