Village Veterinary Hospital is a locally owned, full service animal hospital with a personal touch. We also offer pet acupuncture and stem cell therapy!

We love your pets like our own and are passionate about educating pet parents about the optimal care of their pets. We welcome both emergency treatment cases as well as pets in need of routine medical, surgical, and dental care. Dr. Julianna Wilcox recently bought the practice from Dr. Sue Morizi, who has owned and cared for pets for years in La Jolla Village and continues to lend her expertise on a part time basis. Dr. Wilcox specializes in pain management and senior dog care, but is also great at working up complex medical cases, allergy and skin care, general surgery and dentistry. Come visit our beautiful clinic in the heart of La Jolla where we practice state of the art medicine with the conscientous and compassionate touch that only a locally owned pet hospital can provide.

🦷✨ Meet Melissa, Our New Dental Technician! 🐾

We’re so excited to welcome Melissa, RVT, to the Pearl Street Pet Hospital and Urgent Care family!

Melissa is a Registered Veterinary Technician with five years of experience and a special passion for veterinary dentistry. She loves helping improve the quality of life of our furry family members through compassionate, individualized dental care.

Did you know pets can have significant dental disease without showing obvious signs of discomfort? Since our pets can’t tell us when something hurts, routine dental care is an important part of keeping them healthy and happy. ❤️

From preventive dental cleanings to more advanced procedures, including extractions, Melissa is dedicated to making every patient’s dental experience as comfortable and positive as possible.

To celebrate her joining our team, Melissa is offering FREE dental consultations! 🦷

This is a great opportunity to:

* Have your pet’s oral health evaluated
* Ask questions about dental care
* Learn about recommended treatment options

Swipe to see a few before-and-after photos from Melissa’s previous dental cases!

📞 (858) 239-2010
Give us a call to schedule your pet’s complimentary dental consultation. Our team will be happy to find an appointment on a day Melissa is at the hospital.

Help us give Melissa a warm Pearl Street welcome! We can’t wait for you to meet her! 🐶🐱

Some heroes wear capes. Ours wear scrubs. 🐾💚

They're nurses, anesthetists, dental experts, patient advocates, professional treat dispensers, and the people who sit on the floor with your nervous pet until they feel safe.

This Vet Tech Week, we're celebrating the incredible people who make veterinary medicine possible.

Show our team some love in the comments! 🫶

After a lot of hard work and patience we are so thrilled to announce our Pet Angel Fund!

Sometimes, more time together starts with a little help. 🐾

An unexpected illness or emergency can leave a family facing a veterinary bill they simply can’t manage—even when treatment could bring their pet home.

That’s why we launched the Pearl Street Pet Angel Fund with the myBalto Foundation: to help eligible families access veterinary care for the pets they love.

More walks. More cuddles. More ordinary days that mean everything.

If you’re able, please donate through the link in our bio. And if you can’t give today, sharing this post helps us reach someone who can. 💙
