At 12 years old, Dottie has been a loyal and loving member of her family since she was just a pup. 🐾 But one morning, everything changed—she let out a sudden yelp and began limping. An urgent vet visit revealed the cause: a dislocated hip that would require surgery.

For Dottie’s family—hardworking members of the San Diego service industry—the rising cost of living left little room for unexpected emergencies. 💔 But they were determined to do whatever it took to help their beloved senior girl.

Thanks to a Grey Muzzle grant, FACE Foundation stepped in to help cover the cost of Dottie’s surgery at ABC Uptown Animal Hospital. She underwent a femoral head ostectomy (FHO)—a procedure her family simply couldn’t have afforded on their own.

Now Dottie is on the road to recovery, surrounded by love and given the chance to enjoy her golden years pain-free and by her family’s side. 💛

❤️‍🩹🐾 Meet Bella, a big personality wrapped up in a sweet, charismatic pup who lights up her family’s world. ✨Recently, Bella faced a terrifying diagnosis: pyometra, a life-threatening uterine infection. Without urgent surgery, her only options were suffering or euthanasia.

Her loving family, her veteran dad working two jobs, her mom caring for their three kids, was devastated. They would do anything for Bella, but the cost of her emergency care was simply out of reach. 💔

💛🐾 Double the Love, Double the Care 🐾💛

Meet Baba & Bell, two sweet 8-year-old pups who found their forever home when their loving owner took them in after a friend could no longer care for them. 🏡💕

Noticing signs of oral pain, their mom rushed them to the vet, only to discover that both Baba and Bell were suffering from severe dental disease and needed extractions to live pain-free. The cost of surgery for both dogs was overwhelming for their owner, who lives on a fixed income. 💔

That’s when FACE stepped in. With the help of our supporters and the team at - Baba and Bell received the surgeries they needed! Today, these two cuties are healing, thriving, and back to showering their mom with love. ✨

💛 Meet Simba, a sweet kitty who stole his mom’s heart the moment they met. 🐱💕 Recently, Simba lost a tooth, and further testing revealed stomatitis—a painful and rare gum disease that makes eating nearly impossible. Left untreated, it can cause severe health complications.

His mom was heartbroken. As a single-income household, she simply couldn’t afford the life-saving surgery on her own. That’s when FACE stepped in. With support from our community and the incredible care team at 🏥 FACE pledged $3,000 to help Simba get the full-mouth extractions he needed to live pain-free. 🦷✨

Today, Simba is recovering and finally on his way back to enjoying meals, purrs, and all the cuddles he loves most. 🐾💛

Chico’s loving family has been facing disability, health struggles, and housing insecurity, so this emergency couldn’t have come at a worse time. Thankfully, they found FACE. ✨

🌟🐾 Meet Maple, a sweet 5-year-old Dachshund whose joyful spirit lights up her dad’s world. 💛 But recently, Maple’s life took a heartbreaking turn when she suddenly began struggling to walk and showed signs of severe pain.

The diagnosis was Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) —a painful, progressive condition that, without urgent surgery, could have left her permanently paralyzed. 💔

Her dad, already overwhelmed, simply couldn’t afford the cost of Maple’s MRI and spinal surgery on his own. That’s when FACE stepped in. With the help of our incredible supporters, Maple received the critical care she needed at 🏥✨

💬 From her neurologist: “Maple’s surgery went very well and she’s already a bit more comfortable today. She’s such a sweet girl— and a chow hound!”

Today, Maple is healing and back on the road to recovery, bringing smiles and tail wags to everyone around her. 🐶💕

✨🐾 At FACE, we had the honor of helping a very special boy named Oreo. 💕

Oreo is a 2-year-old Domestic Shorthair who started out as a stray, showing up at his family’s home for food until little by little, he trusted them enough to come inside. Soon, he became part of their hearts and their family. 🏡💛

But when Oreo began crying at mealtimes and stopped eating, his family knew something was terribly wrong. The diagnosis was stomatitis—a painful condition requiring full-mouth extractions. Without treatment, Oreo couldn’t eat. His family was devastated, and the cost of surgery was out of reach.

That’s when FACE stepped in. Thanks to our community of supporters, Oreo received the surgery he needed. Today, he’s home, healing, and eating like he’s making up for lost time. 🐱🍲

His family shared with us:
“Oreo is thriving. He’s safe, healthy, and we are so lucky to have him. Thank you, FACE, for helping us save our baby.”

🐶 Meet Kane, a 10-year-old terrier mix whose love and loyalty brighten his family’s days. Recently, Kane faced severe dental disease and a painful tooth root abscess, leaving him unable to eat comfortably. His family, already stretched thin financially, was devastated watching him struggle. 🦷💔

Thanks to the 🐾 and our partnership with 🌺 FACE was able to step in. Kane received the life-changing dental procedure he desperately needed. Today, he’s pain-free, eating with ease, and back to enjoying his golden years with the people who adore him most. 🐶❤️
