Established in 2006, The Foundation for Animal Care and Education (FACE) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) public charity, whose mission is to enhance and preserve the quality of life of companion animals by providing access to necessary medical care and education.

When a sudden, traumatic incident left Crunch with life-threatening lacerations, everything changed in an instant. One moment, he was a happy, loved cat. The next, he was in excruciating pain, unable to urinate, and facing a life-threatening emergency.

His family rushed him to the vet, only to learn the surgery he needed to survive would cost $8,085, an impossible amount in the middle of a crisis. They loved him deeply, but love alone couldn’t save him.

That’s when FACE stepped in. Because of generous donors, Pumpkin received a $4,600 lifesaving grant and the emergency surgery he needed. Today, he’s healing and heading home, alive because someone chose to give.
