Meet Laci, an 8-year-old Dachshund who has been her mom’s heart and soul for the past three years. This sweet pup fills every day with joy, but recently, a foreign body put her life in serious jeopardy. While her mom was able to cover the initial surgery at another hospital, the cost of the critical post-surgery care at a 24-hour facility was more than she could manage.

That’s when the amazing team at Veterinary Emergency Group in Mission Valley stepped in and referred Laci’s mom to FACE! Together, we made sure Laci received the care she needed to recover fully. Today, she’s back home, healthy, happy, and thriving—right where she belongs.

Meet Dottie, a 12-year-old Pomeranian with a heart as big as her fluffy coat. Adopted as a puppy, Dottie has spent her life as the perfect companion, bringing endless joy to her loving family.

One morning, a sudden yelp and a limp turned their world upside down. A trip to the vet revealed a dislocated hip, and Dottie needed a femoral head ostectomy (FHO) to relieve her pain and restore her mobility. For her hardworking family in the service industry, the cost of this unexpected emergency was devastatingly out of reach.

That’s when FACE, along with stepped in. Thanks to your support and a grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization, which helps FACE specifically care for senior dogs, Dottie received the surgery she desperately needed. With the expertise of she’s now back home, happy and on the mend, continuing to fill her family’s life with love and companionship.

✨ A New Year, A New Beginning for Nova ✨ Meet Nova, an adorable 4-month-old Domestic Shorthair who faced a heartbreaking accident that left his tiny leg in need of amputation. His loving family, working hard to rebuild their lives, was devastated by the unexpected cost of the life-saving surgery. With no extra funds to spare, they turned to FACE in their moment of need, hoping to give their precious kitten a chance at a pain-free, happy life.

✨🎄This Christmas, we’re celebrating the incredible stories of Loki and Fritz, two beloved pets whose lives were saved thanks to your generosity.

Loki, a playful 6-year-old Shih Tzu, needed emergency surgery after swallowing a foreign object. His family, reeling from a recent job loss, couldn’t afford the life-saving procedure and feared losing their sweet boy.

Fritz, a 10-month-old Siamese mix with crossed eyes and a goofy, lovable personality, also faced a life-threatening intestinal obstruction. Famous for his snuggles and sweet kisses, Fritz’s owner—living paycheck to paycheck—was heartbroken at the thought of losing his best friend.

Thanks to the incredible teams at VCA California Veterinary Specialists in Carlsbad, PETSURG, and ER4PETS, both Loki and Fritz received the critical care they needed. Now, they’re back home, healthy and happy, just in time to fill their families’ holidays with love and joy.

This season, as we celebrate the spirit of giving, we’re reminded of the life-changing impact of kindness. Your support gives families the greatest gift of all—more time with the pets they love.

🧶😻 This sweet 7-month-old kitten is the heart and soul of a single mom and her children, offering comfort, companionship, and unconditional love through life’s struggles.

But heartbreak struck when Luca developed a severe neck abscess that required urgent surgery to save his life. His family was devastated. Already facing immense hardships, his mom couldn’t afford the life-saving procedure. The thought of losing Luca was unbearable, leaving the family feeling helpless and overwhelmed.

Thankfully we were able to partner with ABC Veterinary Hospital in San Marcos, and made it possible for Luca to receive the critical care he needed. Today, he’s back home, purring in the arms of the family who loves him beyond words.

✨Raja is more than a cat—she’s a lifeline. To her owner, she’s a constant source of love and reassurance, a companion who offers comfort in life’s darkest moments. But their world was turned upside down when a tragic accident occurred: Raja was exposed to dog flea medication, a chemical highly toxic to cats. Within hours, she was trembling and seizing, her small body fighting for survival.🥺

🩺In a panic, her owner rushed her to the in Encinitas, terrified they might lose her. But the cost of Raja’s life-saving hospitalization was overwhelming, and with a fixed income due to a medical disability, her owner had nowhere to turn.

Thankfully, sent them our way and with your support, Raja received the urgent care she desperately needed. Today, she’s back home, safe and cherished, proving that love and hope can overcome even the most dramatic challenges. 💛😻
