Not all angels have wings. 👼 Meet “Smooth” Peña, a loving and playful French bulldog who visited San Dimas Pet Clinic recently for his vaccines and wellness exam! Smooth captured our hearts the instant he entered our waiting room, greeting everyone who walked through our doors with a wagging tail. 🤩 We offered to hire him on the spot as our official greeter, but his mom politely shared a heartwarming story with us about Smooth’s purpose in their family. Smooth came into their lives during a tragic time—one of their closest friends had passed away while the Peñas’ son was in a coma. As many of our treasured pets do, Smooth brought boundless love and comfort to the Peña family throughout their healing process. In fact, it was the family of their departed friend who had given Smooth his adorable name. 🥰 Miraculously, the Peñas’ son went on to make a full recovery. Now, every time they see Smooth and call his name, they are reminded of their beloved friend who continues to live on in their hearts. The Peña family lives in gratitude and is a living example of the sentiment that pets are family, too. 🤗
