I've been meaning to add Big Willie to this album for some time. I haven't heard that he has passed, but I'd be very surprised if he was still going. He was about the same age as Sophie, and she'd be 19 and a half now. At 135 lbs, Willie was the biggest dog I ever had in group, and he was a star. He'd been well trained, and walked with his parents on leash, at their pace. Then they called me, the guy who walked the rowdy groups. The rough play turned out to be just the thing for him. He really got into it, but he never went overboard. Here he is with Sophie in our living room. Sophie was about 55 lbs, so less than half Will's size. He boarded with us a number of times.

Brando was a show dog pup, or that's what his mom's had in mind for him. He was a beautiful example of a Rhodesian Ridgeback pup. But Brando hated being away from home, and he hated the show ring. Lots of dogs just aren't cut out for it. His mom's decided that he hated men(he had a male handler on the show circuit). They decided that he always came back from the circuit depressed, sad and clingy because he wasn't used to hetero male energy, and got him a number of male walkers to stop by and walk him. I was one of them.
They lived out by the beach in SF, in the outer avenues, which is an area of town separated from the beach by The Great Highway. One day, when another walker came to walk him, they of course went to the beach. That walker lost his hold of the leash or foolishly dropped it, and Brando ran for home. He was hit by a car on the Great Highway, and killed. Listen to your dogs. Don't invent ridiculous reasons for their depression on the show circuit, and on there return home. They most likely just hate being away from all that makes them feel safe. Appreciate their beauty where they feel safe and secure

Brando is a private walk. He's a show dog. A seven month old Ridgeback. In this pic he's just noticed a UFFO (an unidentified flying food object)

Good morning from a dumbfounded Bosse. Can't blame him. I guess most of us currently feel flummoxed, flustered or flabbergasted (or whatever creative words the English language offers for the mental state of a puppy after the adults have left the room.

The largest stone ever quarried by man, the Stone of the Pregnant Woman, is located in Baalbek, present-day Lebanon. This massive monolith, believed to have been quarried around the first century B.C., measures approximately 21.5 meters (70.5 feet) in length, 4.8 meters (15.75 feet) in width, and 4.2 meters (13.8 feet) in height.

Weighing around 1,000 to 1,200 tons (2,000,000 to 2,400,000 pounds or 907,185 to 1,088,622 kilograms), the Stone of the Pregnant Woman highlights the astonishing capabilities of ancient engineers. The stone’s size is so immense that it remains partly buried, underscoring the extraordinary ambition and skill of its creators.

Another weekend model. Bloom, the working-line labrador. Show line and working line labradors could be a totally different breed for me. They don't only differ quite a lot in size and built, but also act very differently. Mind you, a working line lab is for the active people. Bloom here is a role model of dog. She's super obedient and energetic, but she and her owner work together with such patience and calm. When I tried to motivate Bloom for some wide-angle pictures while I was holding a treat, all of a sudden she got all overexcited and I had to give the control back to the owner to restore the coolness. She's a favourite model, for sure.
