Dear Serena,

I heard you crossed over the rainbow bridge today. You retired from the pack a little while ago, but continued to regularly come up in my thoughts. I would often think, “I wonder what she’s doing right now?” and once in a while I would reach out to your mom and she would send me a picture update of how good of a retired life you were living. It’s inevitable, and though I knew this was eventually coming one day, it still doesn’t sting any less. You were such a big part of The Urban Paw for so many years (since 2008 or 2009). Not only were you a crucial member of the pack, but you also helped me get through some really tough times personally with your affection, love, and stability. You are such a special pup, and will never be forgotten. I hope you’re getting to reunite with your boyfriend Tucker, chasing all the squirrels, and getting all the treats across that rainbow. 🌈 ❤️
