Pawsitively Marvelous is excited to welcome Kermit to the PM family. He is spunky, playful, and full of joy. While he has a few fears, the PM pack welcomed him with open paws and we are looking forward to watching him grow in the months to come. He is a force! It is with deep sorrow that I announce the unexpected passing of Gus, our beloved basset hound. He was more than a member of our pack; he was a member of the park community. Everyone knows Gus! He should have had a fan page 😆I love all of my dogs equally and carry a unique and special bond with each, but something about Gus made him people’s favorite. He touched the hearts of many individuals we would come across on our walks. I would constantly hear people’s memories of their basset hound or a friend’s basset hound from childhood. He brought joy to every single dog and person he met. Our pack could only move as fast as Gus, so really he walked us 😆 His absence is felt, he is missed, and he was loved ❤️

It is with a heavy heart that PM says goodbye to sweet Miss Maddy! She was everyone’s best friend💚 She always got the group running and was a gentle soul. Even though she moved, we were lucky enough to keep in touch over the years and get updates on the family. She will be missed by all who knew her. I know that Rusty and Dylan are waiting for her. They will be chewing sticks and playing keep away 🐾 rest in peace beautiful girl 💚🐾

Miss Franny! From your first day to the last day… what an amazing girl to have in the pack💚 Franny’s last official walk was last week and her absence was noticed! Although she moved out of our district, it won’t be the last we will see of her. There are play dates in our future. We miss you baby girl! Hugs and licks❤️

It is with deep sadness that Pawsitively Marvelous announces the passing of Rusty. He was a beloved pack member for years before moving to Seattle. His dad and I have kept in touch, and I was heart broken to hear the news. I still tell stories about him…His first day with the pack was terrifying, but we carried a strong bond after that… All the times I loaded up the car while he was neck deep in a gopher hole 😆 He was such a joy. He spent many nights at our house, lots of slumber parties! Izzy loved him and I know they are keeping each other company ❤️

As many of you know there is a "new respiratory disease process affecting dogs". While the infection is not new to the United States, occurring in the east coast and midwest states for almost a year, it has started to spread to California. We currently do not have any cases in San Francisco.

Pawsitively Marvelous encourages clients to not panic, instead be diligent about staying up to date on your pet's vaccines and make informed decisions about your pet's potential exposure risks. Takeaways from the Articles:

- Limit your dog’s contacts, especially transient contacts with dogs of unknown health status and unknown vaccine status. (ALL PM clients are up to date on their vaccines.)
- Keep your dog away from sick dogs.
- If your dog is sick, keep it away from other dogs.
- Avoid communal water bowls. (PM does the best we can to not drink from communal fountains.)
- Keep your pet vaccinated against canine parainfluenza (covered in our DAPP vaccine), bordetella bronchiseptica, and canine influenza.

Please keep in mind that this infection can be transmitted from all encounters including walks around your neighborhood and play dates. Be cautious and use good judgement, but don't live in fear from the infection. Pawsitively Marvelous keeps the health and well-being of all of our dogs at the forefront of our minds and hearts!
