We have been given permission to groom animals for health reasons! If your dog is matted, needs a medicated bath, or has another health concern that grooming will solve, we want to help. Hello beloved clients and friends -

First, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support. We were filled with such gratitude and amazement at the overwhelming response we got to our Go Fund Me campaign and we are just so thankful we don’t even know what to do except try to get back to serving you all as quickly as possible. Which leads me to…

Second, we need your help again but this time in the form of a letter or tweet or phone call or preferable all three. We suspect the city will extend the shelter in place order but will also allow a few more businesses to open. We want to make certain that Dog Grooming is one of those businesses.
on April 14th the office of Homeland Security issued a protocol claiming animal care providers as essential and the state list of Essential Critical Care workers includes animal care providers but the city of San Francisco has yet to follow suit. VIP Grooming and VIP Scrub Club along with other Grooming shops will be making impassioned pleas to the mayor and requesting she allow Dog Groomers to re-open.

If you agree, please take a moment to contact Mayor London Breed and /or Supervisor Mandelman and/or Joanquin.Torres at the OWED to request that Dog Groomers be allowed to open ASAP under the same protocol as restaurants, liquor stores and Veterinary offices.

Also, please share this info with others who may be interested in voicing their opinion. Our goal is to flood the Mayor with this specific request so that we can re-open by May 3rd.

Just a cute dog story : )

This is Eclipse. Every day she leaves her house, by herself, and takes the bus downtown to the dog park where she spends a couple of hours getting exercise and making friends, and then she takes the bus back home again. She even has her own bus pass attached to the collar.

It started when her owner, Jeff Young, was taking too long when the bus arrived, so she impatiently ran ahead and got on the bus by herself. The bus driver recognized her and dropped her off at the dog park, and later Jeff caught up with her. After several more trips by herself, Jeff started letting her go on her own, and she always comes back home a couple of hours later.

All of the bus drivers know her and she makes them smile, and many of the regular passengers enjoy seeing her every day and will often sit down next to her. Even the police have given their approval as long as the bus drivers are okay with the arrangement. "She makes everybody happy."
