(8)

I completed Dr. Ian Dunbar's Behavior & Training Academy courses and have been accepted to become a KPA-CTP. I have a master's degree in science and attended veterinary school to study animal behavior. I specialize in the management of dog/cat aggression, separation anxiety, resource guarding, leash pulling and aggression, reactivity, and house training. These skills were acquired during my time s

pent in St. Kitts as a personal dog trainer, kennel dog trainer, and behavior consultant for the dogs and cats of St. Kitts and Nevis. My passion is rescue and rehabilitation and I have saved over 30 feral dogs and over 200 cats who have all been rehomed. I have also shadowed Dr. Lisa Radosta (DACVB), Mindy Cox (CPDT), Dr. Louisa Beal(DVM), and Andrea Arden and am enrolled in Dr. Ian Dunbar's Dunbar Academy. I am inspired by the human-animal bond and look forward to helping you strengthen that bond with your pet through positive reinforcement training or pet sitting. I would be happy to make multiple trips to your residence, stay in your home, or have your pets stay at my residence as long as they are dog and cat friendly. My rates and schedule are flexible and you can contact me via private messaging or email.

My Story

My name is Lana and I have been working with animals in the rescue and veterinary field for over 10 years. I began training dogs as a pit bull rescue volunteer working specifically with abused dogs who had never lived in a home. Later on, I met my biggest inspiration and best teacher, my own rescue dog, Eeyore. Working with some of the most talented trainers to help him through his fear aggression with people and other animals changed my life and motivated me to help other dogs like him. I studied veterinary behavior in school, received a scholarship for outstanding community service with shelter dogs to complete Dr. Ian Dunbar's Behavior & Training Academy courses, am fear-free certified, have been accepted to become a KPA-CTP, and am working towards my PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience at Oklahoma State University with hopes to become a certified applied animal behaviorist. I currently have a master's degree and specialize in the management of dog/cat aggression, separation anxiety, resource guarding, leash pulling and aggression, reactivity, and house training. These skills were acquired during my time spent in St. Kitts as a personal dog trainer, kennel dog trainer, and behavior consultant for the dogs and cats of St. Kitts and Nevis. My passion is rescue and rehabilitation and I have rescued over 30 feral dogs and cats who have all since been adopted into loving homes. I have shadowed some of the greatest and most renowned doctors, behaviorists, and trainers, Dr. Lisa Radosta (DVM, DACVB), Mindy Cox (CPDT), Dr. Louisa Beal (DVM), Dr. Martin Godbout (DVM, DACVB), Dr. Erika Bebout (DVM), Dr. Elizabeth Kost (DVM) and Andrea Arden.
