Plan for their care: Give them a lifetime of love

Senior dogs are prone to developing medical problems as they age. When caught in time, many diseases can be managed while maintaining a high quality of life for your dog. If any of the following warning signs appear in your dog, make an appointment with your veterinarian as soon as possible.

🧐 Check On Them Regularly
Many diseases show warning signs long before the illness becomes unmanageable. Early recognition can save your dog's life. However, to be able to recognize abnormal behavior, dog parents have to know what is normal first. The basic dog health check should be performed monthly to track potential changes.

😴 Changes in Behavior
Is your dog normally energetic but suddenly sleeping all day? Is your dog unexpectedly refusing favorite activities, such as going for walks? If so, these changes could signal anything from arthritis pain to cancer.

🚰 Change in Thirst or Appetite
Two common symptoms that something is wrong with your senior dog are increased thirst or decreased appetite. Excessive thirst can be caused by a variety of illnesses, including kidney and liver failure, diabetes, Cushing’s disease, and cancer. Decreased appetite also has numerous underlying causes, such as pain, cancer, diabetes, and the flu, among others. The smart dog bowl will track how much your dog typically eats or drinks throughout the day and notify you of any sudden changes. This information can be invaluable when diagnosing a potential illness.

⚖️ Weight Gain / Loss
Sudden changes in weight can signal many different types of disorders, including thyroid conditions, diabetes, and cancer.

🚽 Changes in Urination
Older dogs may begin to develop continence issues as they age. However, if your dog suddenly develops bladder control issues, a visit to the vet is warranted.

Travel with care!

Nothing beats a road trip with your best friend – but what if your best friend is a dog? 🐶🧳

✔️Make sure your journey is safe and comfortable for you and your dog by planning ahead.

✔️If you travel by car, always keep your pet restrained for the ride.

✔️Pack not only the travel essentials but also your pet's health records, including proof of recent vaccinations.

✔️Identify your pet. Make sure your pet is microchipped (and registered) or has an ID tag.

Love your pet? See your vet!

✔️💉🩺 Don't Ignore Annual Check-ups and Keep Their Vaccinations Up-To-Date

Prevention is the key to a healthy life not only for humans but for their dogs as well. Preventive care includes annual check-ups, vaccinations, deworming, regular tick or flea treatment, and the right dental care. Providing proper preventative care can help your dog live a longer and healthier life. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Our Story

Understand your dog as if they could speak to you

Dogs have been living with humans for more than 10,000 years. That’s a long time, so we should be able to understand them without any words. However, the sad fact is that a common reason for premature death in dogs is the neglected symptoms of the disease. Monitoring symptoms – instead of overlooking – can help your dog live longer. But, how can this be done, since dogs can’t talk?

This is the reason we have developed a system that is designed to alert dog parents to any anomalies in a dog’s daily habits.

The Actijoy solution can potentially prolong dogs’ lives by up to two years and save money for pet owners, thanks to disease prevention. We have interconnected three devices to track activity, nutrition, and changes in the dog’s behavior in one step with the Health & Activity Tracker, the WiFi Food & Water Bowls, and the Actijoy App. The Actijoy system can detect dangerous anomalies, including symptoms associated with diabetes and kidney disease, both of which are easily treatable when caught in time. Actijoy provides real-time data regarding a dog’s health to dog owners and veterinarians and gives your dog a voice when something is wrong.
