Take a shelter dog home for the holidays and give them something extra special this season — time in a home, a quiet place to relax, and a chance to enjoy the holidays alongside people.

🗓 Pick-up: Dec 20–23
🗓 Return: Dec 27–29

Whether you’re ready to adopt or simply want to foster and give a pup a break from the shelter environment, you can make a meaningful difference during Holiday Foster Week. All supplies are provided — you give the love. 💛

Fostering even for a few days means:

🐾 A calmer, quieter holiday week
🐾 Extra one-on-one time that helps dogs shine

Gwinny is a beautiful 4-year-old husky mix whose story stays with you. She was rescued from a homeless encampment set up right next to active train tracks — an unimaginably dangerous place for any dog, let alone a mama trying to protect her babies.

Most of Gwinny’s puppies were given away in the encampment before help could arrive. One puppy was tragically hit by a train. Only one of her babies, Astra, made it to safety and is now with the rescue, also waiting for her forever home. Gwinny loved her puppies fiercely, and she did the very best she could in circumstances no dog should ever face.

Now, Gwinny is safe — and her true personality is shining through. Watch this video and you’ll see it immediately: the joyful zoomies, the excitement over something as simple as going for a walk, the pure happiness bursting out of her. She’s playful, sweet, and full of life. She loves her walks, adores her people, and is just as happy to chill by your side once the fun is done.

Her puppies are no longer depending on her. Gwinny has done her job as a mama — through heartbreak, loss, and impossible odds.

Now it’s her turn.

URGENT FOSTER NEEDED 🚨💔

Meet Talia, a young cattle dog mix who has been through more than any dog ever should.

Talia is extremely scared and simply needs a quiet, safe place to decompress. We took her to the vet this week for an injury to her back leg — and yesterday we learned the heartbreaking truth: Talia has approximately 80 BB pellets throughout her body. She was shot in the face and across her entire body. This trauma explains her fear, and it breaks our hearts.

Despite everything, Talia doesn’t need much.
She doesn’t need training.
She doesn’t need fixing.
She just needs safety, patience, and kindness.

Talia would do best in a foster home with no other dogs, or possibly a very calm dog who will completely give her space. She needs a soft place to land — a home where nothing is expected of her except to rest and feel safe.

If you can open your home for this sweet girl ASAP, you could change everything for her.

At just 8 weeks old, Miso is a total cuddle bug — soft, snuggly, and happiest curled up with his people. While all of his brothers have headed off to their new homes, this sweet boy is still waiting… and you can tell he misses them. 🥺

Fresh from the groomer and feeling extra handsome, PoinDexter is the sweetest miniature Schnauzer mix pup around — huge thanks to his amazing foster family for the glow-up! They can’t stop raving about what a well-mannered, affectionate little gentleman he is. He’s wonderful with other dogs, happily submissive, and an all-around joy to have in the home.

PoinDexter is potty trained, has lovely manners, and sports the world’s most adorable underbite — a signature look that only adds to his irresistible charm. This sweet boy has so much love to give and would be over the moon to find his forever family before the holidays.

Meet Astra 💫💕 — an 8-month-old shepherd mix puppy with ears so incredible they should truly have their own fan club. She’s sweet, goofy, wicked smart, and full of that joyful puppy sparkle we all adore.

Astra already knows “sit,” “drop it,” and “leave it,” loves all dogs, is potty trained, and is an off-leash adventure pro on her foster’s property. She’s cuddly at night, playful by day, great with chickens, and has the funniest little husky-style voice when she wants to tell you something.

If you’re looking for a bright, affectionate pup who’s ready for big adventures and big snuggles… Astra is your girl. 🐾✨

She’s calm, cuddly, sweet, and low-maintenance, and would do best in a home without smaller dogs (bigger dogs are great!). 🐕
Mia is a wonderful and darling little French Bulldog who deserves a loving home that we hope she’ll find soon.

This darling little floof-ball Pomeranian (1–2 years old) is as sweet as they come! With his snowy white coat, happy little prance, and gentle personality, Monty is pure joy in a tiny package.

Ray’s story began in an almond orchard in Manteca, where he was found abandoned, malnourished, and terrified. A truly kind woman discovered him, brought him home, and she and her family showered him with love while he healed and learned the world could be safe again.

Now this adorable terrier–chihuahua mix (maybe some Min Pin too!) is ready for his forever home!

Ray is fun, playful, and LOVES other dogs — he’d thrive in a home with a friendly pup to be his buddy. He can be a bit shy with new people at first, but once he realizes he’s safe, his sweet personality shines through.

After everything he’s survived, Ray deserves a family who will cherish him as much as he’ll cherish them. 💛
