Mark, Pet Camp's Senior Counselor, and Michelle, Pet Camp's General Manager, recently attended the Dog Boarding and Day Care convention in Hershey, PA, where the limited offsite attractions surprisingly fostered more valuable connections than big-city venues.
While The New York Times article suggested that convention centers need additional activities to succeed, we found that Hershey Lodge’s (Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Company) cozy bar and fireplace created a perfect networking space where industry professionals gathered to share insights. This experience reminded us that sometimes, simple settings can encourage the most meaningful conversations.
