CRAWSHAW DESIGN SPECIALIZES IN CREATING LOGOS
Since founding Crawshaw Design in 1975, I, along with my partner Helene, have developed more than 300 corporate identity programs for major corporations and individual proprietorships. Designing logos is what first attracted me to the business of commercial art. It is my opinion that logos are the poetry of graphic design, distilling the essence of a business or concept into a symbol. It is the core element upon which a company’s collateral material is built. This is a sample of 30 logos created during that time.

This video was created by member Lonna Denny of our outside event yesterday. A Barbary Coast Trail Walking Tour of downtown San Francisco. We explored sites that were devastated by the 1906 earthquake and then rebuilt. We visited the Old U.S. Mint, a national historic landmark; Union Square, site of Civil War-era rallies; Maiden Land, a sunny street with a shady past; the oldest Catholic cathedral in the West; and Chinatown with its painted balconies and the first Asian temple in America. This is one of four tours given by author and trail creator Daniel Bacon who has a plethora of stories about San Francisco’s fascinating history.
A baseball outing. Giants vs the Brewers. A 10 to 1 win.
