It breaks our hearts that he’s been at the shelter for 11 months now. At 110 lbs, Ace might be a big boy, but deep down, he’s just a giant teddy bear. This 6-year-old German Shepherd mix has been with us for a couple of months and is still learning to trust new people. He just needs a little patience, and once he warms up, he’s the sweetest cuddle bug who thinks he’s a lap dog! 🥰

Since joining us a few months ago, Glamour has been working hard on her leash walking skills—and she’s made some good progress. This sweet girl is an expert sniffer on walks, taking in all the interesting scents along the way. Coco is the friendliest girl we know! This sweet, affectionate pup has spent the last 5 months lighting up the shelter with her warm, nurturing energy. She’s the one all the other dogs gravitate toward, always ready to make a new friend.

In case you missed it - We will continue to accept donations for pets through Sunday, 1/19 and will continue to distribute items to those impacted as they are needed in the days to come. Hours for both drop-off and distribution are 9am to 4:30pm. And yes, we will need volunteers to help 🙏

SGVHS is continuing to support those impacted by the Eaton Fire ❤️‍🩹 The outpouring of donations and volunteer support has been overwhelming. It has been heartwarming to see so many animal lovers supporting others in need!

We will continue to accept donations for pets through Sunday, 1/19 and will continue to distribute items to those impacted as they are needed in the days to come. Hours for both drop-off and distribution are 9am to 4:30pm. And yes, we will need volunteers to help 🙏 (We’re closed on Mondays as the animals need a little quiet time!)

Hi friends, we hope you are safe. SGVHS was not directly impacted by the fires other than clean up efforts from extreme winds. However, we are fully operational, open for adoptions, and coordinating with other local shelters as best we can to deal with the devastating fires. In order to help with this effort, we are accepting any and all donations for pets. Tomorrow, Sunday 1/12 from 9am - 4:30 we will be accepting donations as well as distributing to those in need.
