BUNSY MALONE
Dental Time
Fifteen-year old Bunsy Malone, the matriarch of The Motleys, will be going in to see Dr Kanfer at the clinic tomorrow for another dental procedure. She has them approximately every six weeks. Last time, it was fairly involved, and a really nasty molar came out, so we’re hoping for some good news tomorrow, and that maybe she won’t have to have a procedure under anesthesia, just a bit of light sedation and a snip. Fingers crossed, because sedation in general is always risky, but at 15 years old it’s a definite worry. Even for a trooper like Bunsy.
BUNNY MONEY
As a nonprofit who depends on the generosity of the public, we can always use your help with our medical fund, and for just about anything else.
We have only received one donation in the last 10 days.
We far outspend our donations in general, and that’s just for medical procedures and basic veterinary care! If you could see your way towards a donation for Bunsy, we would be very appreciative, and so would she.

LYLA DRAGONFLY
((I may change the spelling of her first name))
Caught the end of a happy zoomie—and then a flop—all because her new little boyfriend, Dig Dug Malone ((once he’s neutered)), groomed her head a bit. They stare at each other all the time and canoodle through the fence. They clearly have fallen in love.🥰😻💜🩵

SNICKERS
Our sweet little Fourth of July “Max Factor Gene” rescue bunny is at the clinic for her heart ultrasound today. Please send her some love and positive energy. 💚💛♥️
SNICKER’S EYES
We have also done cultures on the infection in her eyes, and discovered that it is not a bacteria, but in fact, a fungus, which is pretty rare. Special eyedrops are on the way to help take care of that. It will not restore her eyesight, but hopefully at least clear up the infection and make her eyes less inflamed and more comfortable. 💜
Snickers is just one of the many elderly or special needs rabbits in our guardianship.
We are currently at risk of losing our 25% and medications discounts unless we can get our outstanding bill paid off. Please consider a donation of any size to to help prevent us from losing those crucial discounts.

SNICKERS
Look at Sanctuary Rabbit SNICKERS!!
This little cutie pie is beginning to find her way. She is acting more like a normal happy rabbit: Curious, chinning stuff, sticking her schnozz through the pen trying to figure out what’s out there. And she’s finally starting to try some greens and we think she actually likes them!
She is truly one tough little fluff. 🥰
The earliest ultrasound appointment we could get for her, to look at her heart, is August 15.
How cute and amazing is this little blind bunny? Send her some love in the comment thread below!

SNICKERS: FIRST COOKIE
She wasn’t sure if she wanted it first. And then she was! Wish we’ve gotten the first second when she lunged for the cookie with her mouth open.
How cute is she?
🥰💚🥰💚🥰💚🥰
DONATIONS NEEDED. This little sweetie deserves the best care we can give her. We cannot do that without your help, but so far we have only raised $133
Her first appointment is this afternoon.
At the very least, she will need
- exam
- bloodwork
- radiographs
- possibly a CT scan.
- vaccination
- medications
As you can see, the Max Factor gene has played havoc with her eyes. Additionally, her left back leg is moderately deformed. We will need diagnostics in order to plan the best care for her going forward.

INCOMING SANCTUARY RABBIT, SNICKERS
Incoming Sanctuary Rabbit
SNICKERS
This little bit did well overnight at Chris’s house, and will be at Zooh Corner this evening. She will be going home with our VP, Susan, and hopefully be bonded in with two of her Sanctuary rabbits, Miss Scarlet and Egbert. I will post more about her later this evening once I have had a chance to assess her in person.
Right now, she’s happiest in her little carrier, even though she has a lot of space to move out and run around. Being so tiny and blind and I knew situation must be scary. We think she’s doing pretty darn well, considering! She is enjoying playing with her hay, and eating it. So grateful for all the attention she is getting from Chris. And so grateful that she is no longer outside in this heat, in a small cage.
In addition to needing donations for our emergency yesterday, we need donations for this incoming bunny. in addition to a basic exam which will include bloodwork and radiographs, he is going to need treatment, we don’t know what else? She is also not spayed or vaccinated.
Yesterday I posted about the incoming Bunny and the emergency, and we have received only two donations. We are super grateful, but we are going to need much more help.
