Pet Sitting By Erin got a surprise in the mail yesterday from my BGSFF Anita . Thank you so much for thinking of me and all my furry BFFs! It was such a fun surprise to open with Puppy Park Playdate on this beautiful sunny afternoon. If there was ever such a thing as a puppy Girl Scout troop I know for sure I would be a leader and that these dogs would all be in my troop. A shout out to both Girl Scouts and BarkBox for collaborating together to celebrate two of my favorite things, Girl Scout cookies and puppies.

Would you like to buy some Girl Scout cookies???

Some highlights about Kiwi in honor of National Kiwi Day...

Kiwi is in a Miniature Sheltie who moved to the Bay Area last year with her mom and dad. She is originally from Gainesville Florida so naturally she is an avid Tom Petty fan which she has in common with grandfather. Luckily for us her parents are World Travelers so we get to spend lots of time with Kiwi. Some of her favorite things to do are snuggling in your lap and attending Little League games. She does not enjoy loud clapping or watching horror movies. Kiwi Girl is definitely a great addition to our pack and we are so thankful that she has chosen us to be part of her extended family.

Now it is time for our last Pepper...

Pepper (our Pepper) is a 4 year old Spaniel and Terrier mix who lives in Almaden with Mom and Dad. In November of 2019 my parents adopted him from a co-worker of mine who had recently rescued him from the San Jose Animal Shelter but unfortunately was not able to keep him. As soon as my Mom saw him she said "he looks just like my Pepper from when I was growing up", it was love at first sight. Pepper enjoy's going for walks down to the local school to play fetch with my Dad, floating in his pirate raft in my parent's pool, going out to lunch or just tagging along with whatever my parents are doing. He biggest pet peeves are when the raccoons come to visit in his backyard or when the Great Wolf Lodge commercials interrupt TCM.

And another Pepper...

Pepper (black Pepper) is a 2 year old Chihuahua mix who lives in Campbell with his mommy and daddy. He was rescued from the animal shelter last year after his parents 2 senior dogs (Charlie and Dash) crossed the rainbow bridge. His family decided they were ready for a sister for Pepper and adopted Nina, a poodle mix just last month. Pepper's favorite activities are wrestling with Nina and standing up on his back legs to "dance" for a cookie or just to get a little excited attention. Pepper does not enjoy when bigger dogs approach his mom without his consent first. We will see Pepper and Nina next moth while his parents go to Antarctica to see the polar bears and penguins!

Ready for our next Pepper...

Pepper (Pepper and Otis Pepper) who also goes by Pepper-pants is a 2 year old Australian Labradoodle who lives in San Jose with her family. Her birthday is December 29th, which is only a month away so if you need any birthday gift ideas just DM me and I'll get you her wishlist. She enjoys napping with her cousin Otis and playing tag with us humans. Her favorite snacks include pepperoni and strawberries.

Here is a different type of Pepper...

Pepper (Pepper the cat) is a black Domestic Short Haired cat who lives with his family in Downtown Willow Glen. During the day you can find him sunbathing in the driveway and in the evening you will find him cuddling with the new baby. If you call his name he will come running up and then tell you all about his day so far. Pepper loves to dress up accordingly and always has a fancy collar and bowtie to match the season. Fun fact, a few people have mistaken Pepper for Salem, the star from Sabrina The Teenage Witch.

Time for another Pepper...

Pepper (Tiny Pepper) is a 1 year old Toy Aussiedoodle who lives in San Jose with her mommy and daddy. Her birthday is March 16th which makes her a Pisces and she definitely fits the description. Some of her favorite activites are to play hide and seek behind the sofa as well as to cuddle while watching Netflix. She is also big into sports , whether it is attending a little league game or cheering for her favorite football team, the Eagles from home. Pepper is always a fan favorite with my nephews when she comes to visit.

Let's meet our next Pepper...

Pepper (Big Pepper) is a 4 year old Chocolate Labradoodle who lives with her family in Almaden. She enjoys ripping squeakers out of any new toy and cuddling with her kitty siblings. Almost every night after dinner you can find her playing soccer or fetch with her parents at the neighborhood school. Pepper also has her own Instagram account which keeps her very busy prepping and planning photo shoots. She might be the biggest Pepper in our pack but she still loves to sit in our laps and snuggle.

November is National Pepper month and I thought a fun way to celebrate would be to feature one of the many Peppers in my life every few days for the next 4 weeks. Let's kick off with the original Pepper, the one that started it all, the one that began my family's love and obsession with dogs! We have a lot to thank him for!

Pepper (Mom's Pepper) was a Springer Spaniel who lived to the ripe old age of 18! Here is a picture of him with my Mom when she was still just a baby. Pepper loved to chase after birds and play with my Mom and her 2 younger sisters. He won first prize for having the shortest tail several years in a row in the local Harrisonburg, Virginia dog show and was also the star on my Grandmother's family Christmas cards before that was the in thing to do. Growing up my Mom always shared such wonderful stories and memories with us of her first best friend, Pepper.

And the winner of our Guess The Ghost-Puppy contest is Trish , she got 6 ghost-puppies correct! I will deliver your special Halloween treat tomorrow. Leo actually got 9 correct, but I told him since he is my nephew and sees the puppies everyday he was not eligible to win. Thank you to everyone who participated and it was so much fun to see all of your guesses!

Had a great afternoon trick-or-treating in downtown Willow Glen with Kaepernick as a trick-or-treater, Wilson as a pickle, Maverick as Patrick Mahomes, Otis as a shark and Erik as a dog walker. Thank you Kim for always hosting such a wonderful event for all the puppies!

Guess the Ghost-Puppy!
