As the year draws to a close, we pause to reflect on the threads of gratitude that weave our story together. Through every challenge, our purpose has remained unwavering: to be here for those cats who need us most. We are humbled to be doing this work in community with you. Your passion for cats, your kindness, and your support create hope and possibility. Together we create opportunities for joy—a chance to rewrite futures and create happy outcomes.

2024 Rewind: 131 cats in bonded pairs found loving forever homes together! But wait, 131 is an odd number 🤔 did we forget to mention we had a triplet adoption?! Bonded pairs share so much more than we can ever fully know and we are thrilled to keep these kitties together until the right person or family arrives. Pictured here are two of the goofiest and loviest cats you could hope to adopt, Baby G & Gnocchi. 2024 Rewind: We were delighted to invite you, our beloved community, to 66 different events in 2024! Your attendance not only supports our rescue but also supports local small businesses, artists, and educators. Every moment of these special gatherings vibrates with warmth, curiosity, laughter and creative energy. Friendships have formed, guests have fallen in love with and adopted a cat, and our cats have benefited from the enrichment that events provide them. Immense gratitude for all of our workshop leaders, you are all so wonderful and generous on behalf of our mission. We are delighted to tell you that Little P has found a forever home that is full of love for him! Little P was 10 when we met him and had some challenges. He needed his ears amputated because of squamous cell carcinoma, a common form of skin cancer especially in white cats who spend time in the sun. He wasn't the most confident guy but he was soulful, gentle and loving in a way that endeared him to anyone who met him.

We met Ingrid, a retired and experienced Cat Mom who enjoyed listening to music with her 12-year-old kitty Ghost. Their life together was lovely but she thought that perhaps another cat could make it even sweeter and met with our adoption team. Little P was a good mellow companion in training and both boys were similarly aged and suited. The new brothers now enjoy treats together and brushing sessions with their Mama, life is good! Some of our adoptable meowdels got their turn on the catwalk! Petco needed some superstars for a photoshoot and reached out to us. In exchange for their purrfect poses, the kitties were given toys, supplies and these gorgeous photos! Great photos help cats find their forever homes much faster and we are grateful for these gorgeous shots and those given to us by our volunteers. Strike a paws!

Our Giving Tree for the kitties is a fun way to give a gift and get a gift! You start by selecting a beautiful handmade ornament from our Giving Tree featuring different adoptable cats. Each ornament has a suggested donation amount and explains where the money goes. Your donation helps the cats, and you now have a beautiful kitty for your tree! Stop by this weekend to fulfill some wishes and enjoy quality time with our crew. After we close on Sunday they’ll be packing their little bags for their vacation homes to ensure everyone is well cared for during the holiday break. Meowy & bright wishes to all 🌟

Meet Racquel! Racquel is a sweet and easy going beauty with a playful and independent spirit. She thrives in a calm, quiet home where she can feel comfortable and safe.

While initially timid around new people, she can be welcomed with her favorite Churu treats. When it comes to playtime, Racquel enjoys short, energetic bursts. Her favorite toys include wand toys, especially those with stuffed mice, and she'll engage in playful hunting and pouncing after a mouse or spring toy. After some fun, she likes to wind down on her human's bed at night or nap at the top of her favorite cat tree by a window during the day. Racquel has a special bond with her 8-year-old neighbor who has earned the title of "treat girl." She often feeds Racquel by hand or spoon, and Racquel will eagerly crawl all over her to get a treat. She's more of a lap adjacent cat and always making sure you're close by. She seems interested in being friends with the resident cat in her foster home so she might enjoy being with other friendly cats.

Racquel would be an ideal match for someone seeking an independent yet affectionate companion in a quiet household. She’s especially perfect for those who enjoy interactive play sessions and understand her need for space.

The stars aligned for Venus when she was rescued from a home that had 30+ cats. A teen Mom who was under-socialized at-a-glance, her sweet spirit shone brightly beyond her circumstances. Like many kitties who were not socialized as kittens, Venus' comfort zone was determined by her and subject to change. Potential adopters (strangers) were not welcome in the zone, so meeting her match was proving tricky. Fortunately, her foster Mom had an Aunt who was looking for a companion for her not so confident cat and now Venus is thriving in a calm home with a chill sibling! All cats regardless of their confidence deserve love, and Venus will have it in spades as adoption #1601!

Who remembers our FIV+ dreamboat Sir Gumbolt? It took our special guy nearly a year to find his perfect match but oh was it worth the wait! He is adored by his person Carol, seen here getting her daily smooches. When Gummy was rescued he had a gaping hole in his face and a severe limp but after a few other health challenges resolved he was ready for his forever home. The streets have been a distant memory since his adoption in May (he was adoption #1535!) and he is about to have his first holiday with his Mama. The peace and joy this brings is a celebration, we wish this for all the cats out there ❤

Buster Pawsy is looking for the home in home run for the pawlidays! Buster Pawsy is an all-star, world champion sweetheart of a cat. He loves being up high on his cat tower and lounging up there most of the day. He enjoys soaking up the morning sun rays while at the top of the tower, since it is next to the window. His favorite toys are his stuffed bananas and the peacock feather, which he likes playing with at night. If you love orange cats and big paws (he is a polydactyl!) consider this handsome hunk

Together we will be moved by an immersive sound experience designed by Jessica Neideffer of Agada Energy Healing, as she performs with her beautiful and transformative singing crystal bowls. During this harmonic meditation, guests will have the choice of The Dancing Cat’s comfortable seating, or you are welcome to bring your preferred blanket and yoga mat to lay on the floor. Plan a rejuvenating date night, or come solo and share this experience with new friends (two-legged and four-legged). Contribution: $40 (includes time with the cats!). Willow Wisp is doing celebratory bunny kicks because she is adopted! 🎉 She found the purrfect fit for her after discovering in some previous homes that other cats cramp her style. Now this Siamese queen gets to rule the roost with her human bro helping her hold court after the family relocated from England. When it was time for the family to meet her she strolled right up to them and rubbed her face all over their outstretched hands. It took a minute for her to sort out how stairs work in her new home but she’s got it now and has discovered mirrors are her best friend 🪞 Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the happiest adoptee of them all? Willow Wisp is as she becomes adoption #1565!
