Hey ! Summer is here and the heat is rising. Remember these Pet Heat Safety Tips to help your pets stay .

🥵Check your pets’ water, make sure it’s fresh, clean, and if you can, throw some ice in the water to keep it cool.

🥵Limit exercise. Go for walks early in the morning or later in the evening.

🥵Ensure your pet has access to a room in your house with lots of shade, close your curtains during the hot days to provide that space. Keeping your pets inside on hot days can help them avoid heat related illnesses such as heat stroke and heat exhaustion.

🥵🥵NEVER LEAVE YOUR ANIMALS ALONE IN A PARKED VEHICLE ON HOT DAYS. 🥵🥵 Not only can it lead to fatal heat stroke, but it’s illegal in California (California Penal Code 597.7 PC).

🧐Watch those pavement levels – if it is too hot for your bare feet it is too hot for your pet’s bare paws.

Does your pet bestie need to chill out for the Fourth of July fireworks festivities?🎇 Make sure their Annual Exam is up-to-date before refilling or requesting a prescription for calming medication💊 (i.e. Gabapentin, Trazodone, Acepromazine, Sileo). Schedule their Annual Exam, so you and your pet will be prepared! If your pet’s exam is up-to-date, place your prescription request online or contact our office in advance. 🚨DONT WAIT UNTIL LAST MINUTE😰😩
