BREAKING NEWS ‼️ We are proud to announce we will be taking over management of the USEF Hunter/Jumper horse shows at the Rancho Mission Viejo Riding Park in 2025. The Equine Network and Nilforushan Equisport Events are excited to provide an incredible competition experience once again called “The Oaks” in San Juan Capistrano 🐎

“We are thrilled to announce we have received the licenses for the horse shows to be held at the Rancho Mission Viejo Riding Park, a cherished cornerstone of our equestrian community in California,” shared Ali Nilforushan. “As we take the reins, we are excited to infuse new energy and innovative ideas into the facility, ensuring it continues to thrive as a hub for horse lovers and spectators alike. Orange County Coastkeeper and The Ridland Group hit a home run!

The Ridland Group has completed a state-of-the-art plan to capture stormwater originating from the Rancho Mission Viejo Riding Park in San Juan Capistrano. The new infrastructure will keep contaminated stormwater out of San Juan Creek, an important waterway that supports aquatic habitats and flows into Doheny State Beach. The plan resolves Orange County Coastkeeper’s concerns and cements the two groups alliance in support of clean water.

“We extend our sincere congratulations to The Ridland Group for completing this project ahead of schedule,” said Garry Brown, Founder and President of Orange County Coastkeeper. “We are excited to observe the new system during the upcoming rainy season and are confident in its success.”

Coastkeeper hopes the stormwater capture system can serve as a national model, proving that large-scale equestrian centers can be effective watershed stewards.

The Riding Park is now ready to host equestrian events in 2025. “This is a huge stride forward for the equestrian community,” said Ridland Group CEO, Hillary Ridland. "With this accomplished, we can get started on all of the upgrades we have planned for the park! We thank Coastkeeper for its cooperation as we found our way to the finish line!”

Laurel Walker Denton, raised on the Bar U Bar Ranch in Skull Valley, Arizona, grew up riding horses and working cattle. Laurel has spent her entire life in the show ring, earning points in fourteen different events. Today her focus is on training Ranch Riding and Ranch Trail horses. Laurel been at the top of the AQHA World’s Show in Ranch Riding since its beginning, winning a World Championship and Third place in 2017, Reserve World Champion and Third in 2019, Reserve World Champion in 2020, Reserve World Champion and Third in 2021, as well as numerous Top Five, Top Ten and Finalist awards.
