of my work. My specialty is making personalized purses. If you have a favorite piece of fabric you would like made into a purse, I will make it. If you have a favorite photo, I will print (not iron-on) that onto your custom-made purse. Email me for details. Please check back occasionally; I'm constantly discovering new fabrics and experimenting with different sizes and designs. Thank you. If you like what you see here, I'd really appreciate your showing your support by "liking" this page. For decades, since I was a young adult, I wore a big leather purse with a shoulder strap. I must have been lugging 30 pounds of stuff on my shoulder—you never know when you might need a flashlight or a tape measure. I used to marvel at how my husband could carry everything he needed in his pockets; his answer to everything was, “It’s in the car.” Of course, there was always the inevitable, “Hey, hon, could I use your super-Swiss-Army-Knife? The one with the pliers?” And, of course, I would always have whatever he or I ever needed in my purse/briefcase/toolbox. One day I came across a simple purse at a garage sale. I really only liked it because it had a cat pattern. (I LOVE cats!) It was a lot smaller than the saddlebag I normally carried, so I had to empty out a lot of hardware and bulky items. It also had a hand-strap instead of a shoulder-strap, so I had to get used to that. Within a couple of weeks, the shoulder pain that I had learned to live with for 30-plus years was gone! I loved my new purse! And, as I examined it more closely, I said to myself, “I could make these!”
And, so, these are the fruits of my labor. I have been experimenting with different designs and have come up with a simple yet functional, roomy yet compact, casual yet elegant piece. They’re perfect for the shopping mall or opera house. One thing they’re NOT perfect for: the shy or introverted. Once you start carrying these around you’ll be inundated with comments like, “I LOVE your purse,” and, “Where on earth did you find that?” Of course, the design of the purse is purely functional; it’s the fabric and pattern that make it “pop.”
I’m always on the lookout for exceptional and unique fabrics to use in making my purses. If you have a favorite fabric, I would be happy to custom-make a purse just for you.
