We are not operated or funded by any national animal group and must rely on contributions from people like you to keep our shelter open. Oh, those are his kryptonite—he’ll melt right into your hand. Welcome Wednesday…a few more kittens have joined the cattery family!! 😻
Our three musketeers are so tiny!! 🥹 They are currently in foster getting all the help they need to grow big and strong. 💪🏻 They’ve hit a couple of setbacks in their short lives 🥺 but they’re hopefully back on the right path. Their foster is keeping a close eye on them making sure they have everything they need!! ❤️
Amelia Earhart & Orville Wright are sweet little bouncy babies learning all the wonders of the kitten world!! 🌎 Besides eating, playing with toys and wrestling are their favorite things to do!! And they love human attention!! 🫶🏻
These curious little kitties need to learn a few things before finding their furrever homes, but we’ll let you know when they’re ready!! 😻

Open Call: Board Members – Volunteer Positions
Bay Area Pet Adoptions is expanding our Working Board of Directors!
Bay Area Pet Adoptions has a passionate, all-volunteer, working Board of Directors who supports the shelter, staff and community programs. This Open Call is an ongoing effort to build a Board of Directors that reflects a diversity of skills, knowledge, perspectives and backgrounds.
Bay Area Pet Adoptions is a non-profit, 501(c)3 no-kill shelter, pet rescue and adoption organization that relies on donations from the public to house, feed and medically care for the dogs and cats taken in our adoption program.
We are looking for motivated individuals who are passionate about animals to join our working Board of Directors and are willing to be productive, assist in strengthening our community presence, strategic vision and financial stability as well as assisting in moving the shelter forward in its goals.
Bay Area Pet Adoptions is seeking potential candidates who are dedicated and willing to put in the necessary work to make a difference.
Individuals with the below skill sets are desired but not required.
• A deep interest and passion for animal welfare and the community
• The ability to see the big picture and vision
• Candidates who will dedicate time to this position and help bring inspiration, solutions and efforts to accomplish goals set
• Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with the Bay Area Pet Adoptions Board of Directors and Shelter Staff, demonstrating the ability to work and take ownership of projects
• Skilled in one of the following areas would be helpful but not required: Animal Welfare, Project/Facilities Management, Legal services, Fundraising, Marketing, Graphic Design, HR, Media, Grant Writing, Business, Technology and Finance. All are encouraged to apply.

Medical Monday!! 🏥🩺
Meet our new kitty intakes - Bernard, Myrtle, Frances & Gertrude!! 😻
They came from a feral cat colony that some really amazing people have worked so hard to TNR and get it under control. These sweet kitties are the last kittens from the colony!! 👏🏻
Unfortunately, living a life that started outside in not so favorable conditions, they have some skin issues, ringworm & icky ear mites!! 🤢
If you could help with medical care or supplies, it would be a HUGE help!! 🙏🏻
In the last week, we have taken in these four kittens, three 3.5 week old babies and a momma cat and her six babies!! I have included our Amazon wishlist with items we need to help feed all these mouths! 🐈⬛🐈

When we received the request for help from Galveston County Animal Resource Center , there was no question this boy was coming into our program! 😍🐶
We named him Paul McCartney, and he's head over heels in love with his medical staff, especially because she has a soft spot for German Shepherds. She even said he's "the most handsome boy ever!" 😍🥰
We can't wait to see his glow-up! He has a long road to recovery, but as you can tell, he loves car rides and is so happy BAPA took him in! 🚗❤️

Our organization operates a community food pantry program, which provides assistance to individuals within our community who are struggling to feed their pets. This initiative plays a crucial role in ensuring that pets remain in their homes and out of shelters, thereby promoting the well-being of both pets and their owners.
The success of our food pantry relies solely on the generosity of donations from our community members. We gratefully accept any brand or size of pet food, including open bags that may no longer be needed.
We kindly request your support in contributing to this meaningful cause. Your donations will make a significant difference in the lives of pets and their families within our community.

Hi, I'm Pip, a playful puppy with a very sweet side. I'm also braver than a lion, well, a small one. You see, I ended up here at the shelter because of my bravery. I once tried to play fetch with a squirrel in the park. It didn't go as planned. The squirrel didn't fetch the stick, but I chased it anyway, right into the shelter's yard. At least that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. I've been making friends here, but I'd love a home with someone that enjoys having fun. I love to walk around with this little moose in my mouth and I’m always up for a game of fetch if you give him a toss. Looking for a fun loving, cool, little dude, who also loves to cuddle? 🐦⬛🛫🐕It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no it’s Batty! No hiding how this little boy got his name. Batty gives new meaning to the phrase, “I’m all ears” and those ears can compete with any set of bat wings out there.
