UPDATE ON OUR CONSTRUCTION

We are working hard to minimize any disruptions to our clients and patients. We appreciate your understanding and support as we strive to improve our facilities for you and your furbabies.

Access to our hospital has been changed. Our parking lot has been closed off to the public. We have made a walkway with a safety doggie turnout (see photos) for easy access. This is for when two pet parents with their doggies walking towards each other at the same time, one can step aside and let the other safely pass. The walkway is on the north side of the parking lot with the entrance on Lorenzo Ave across from Arroyo High School. Currently, we have balloons at the entrance of the walkway.

If you need help bringing your furbaby in or going back to your car, please let us know. We are here to help any way we can.

Thank you for choosing us for your pets’s healthcare needs. Stay tuned for more updates on our progress. 🐾

A New Chapter for Our Clinic.

After six decades of faithfully serving our beloved community, our current clinic building is entering its farewell chapter. For over 60 years, this space has been a cornerstone for pets and their families, filled with countless memories, care, and compassion. We are incredibly grateful for your unwavering support and trust through all these years.

As we move forward, we’re thrilled to announce the start of construction on our new clinic building! This upcoming space will be larger, more modern, and equipped to provide even more services to better care for your furry family members. While we’re excited about what lies ahead, this year marks the beginning of saying goodbye to a place that holds so much history.

Over the next year, we’ll reflect on the memories made here, celebrate the stories, and prepare to step into the future together. Thank you for being part of our journey. We can’t wait to share updates as our new building takes shape! Here’s to a bright future while honoring our cherished past. 🐾

Today Inca came in for some blood tests. After we collected his blood Nicole, our CSR, didn’t want him to be in a kennel so, she put him in a pouch and took him up front with her until his parents came to pick him up. Her concern and care for this senior guy is what we are all about!!! Thank you Nicole! Inca sure did enjoy hanging out with you. 💕🐾

With the weather heating up, here is a tale of one loyal dog who is unable to communicate to her parents that her feet were burning.

"Why I shouldnt walk and run beside you today. Because I am a loyal dog, I often go beyond my limits. So I walk and run beside you, standing still if I have to. All while I feel my paws burning. Even as little as 5 minutes can be fatal to me and to my paws. My whole body starts boiling, but I’ll keep going because I am as loyal as loyal comes. I depend on you to know what’s in my best interest. So instead, let me stay at home where I can enjoy the sun, with a large bowl of water, somewhere in the shade. A cool area with grass would be best. With all the love I have in the whole world - I give it all to you - Love your dog 🩷🐾 "

Our Story

Arroyo Veterinary Clinic is an AAHA-accredited full service hospital with a proud history of serving its clients and their pets for over 40 years. Our dedicated and experienced team always strives to "keep your best friend happy and healthy"

Arroyo Veterinary Clinic has been providing top-notch veterinary care for the San Lorenzo, San Leandro, Castro Valley, Hayward, Oakland and Alameda communities. Beyond meeting your pet’s health care needs, we strive to exceed your expectations with each and every interaction. Whether it’s a simple wellness check or an advanced medical procedure, you can count on us to be there for you every step of the way.

We strive to adhere to our motto – ” Keeping Your Pet Happy and Healthy.” In support of our mission, we are extremely thorough and always pay close attention to detail. We also recognize that nobody knows your pet better than you, and we respect the important role you play as his or her caretaker. Once in the exam room, our focus is entirely on you and your animal companion. We will listen carefully to your needs, answer your questions and discuss your concerns. The objective is to develop a partnership with the shared goal of helping your loved one enjoy a wonderful life.

While we are skilled in veterinary medicine, what truly drives us is getting up close and personal with our patients. There’s nothing quite like cuddling up with a purring kitten or the feeling of moist noses on our cheeks. We are passionate about what we do, and we take great pride in the special bond we share with our four-legged friends. That’s why visiting with us feels more like spending time with good friends.
