Hello everyone! I hope you had just as much fun as I did this weekend! The results for the reined cow horse show and team penning are now posted on my website! So, if you’re curious about where you are placed, make sure to check that out! I did not include any no times in the results for the team penning, but I did tally up who placed where for everyone else. I hope everyone had an amazing time, and I can’t wait until October 25th-27th for our Halloween show!

After this day, we will no longer be taking draws, so if you want to meet new people and make new teams, sign up by midnight tonight! You are allowed to sign up the day of as well if you know what teams you want, but you will not be guaranteed a spot. If we fill up by Sunday, we will not take extra teams, so sign up by tonight to secure a spot in the team penning!

In this case, I will still be taking entries for the herd work, but you will be put on the waitlist and will be notified if there is anyone who scratches before the show. If you do not get an email before July 18th, that means that the herd work is still full and cannot take any more entries. Hello everyone! Today is the final day to sign up for the herd work and reined cowhorse show without late fees! On that note, nobody has entered classes 1 (NP Bridle), 2 (Intermediate NP Bride), or 6 (Intermediate NP Boxing). So, if you’re interested in any of those classes, now is the time to sign up! There is also 1 spot left in the herd work, so anyone interested in cutting practice needs to sign up as soon as possible! With that being said, I can’t wait to see everyone Friday and Saturday! The deadline for the team penning is this Wednesday, July 17th, so make sure to sign up for the team penning as well!

Like most young kids, Jaton wanted nothing more than to be a cowboy. Being the grandson of Ray Hunt, Jaton was given the unique opportunity to pursue that dream. At the age of 15, he started his first c**t with his Grandpa Ray, and from that point on his real education would begin. The majority of his summers throughout 2002 – 2007 were spent traveling down the clinic trail with Ray and Carolyn Hunt. Simultaneously, he worked for the Van Norman ranch in Tuscarora, Nevada, and the Petan Ranch in northern Nevada. In 2008 Jaton started working for renowned cowhorse trainer Annie Reynolds. For three years, Jaton started, trained and showed some of the best equine athletes in the world. Since then, Jaton has gone on to start nine non-pro Snaffle Bit Futurity finalists and seven open Snaffle Bit Futurity finalists and has garnered $130,000 in NRCHA earnings. Jaton also rode the stallion Very Black Magic to the two-rein championship at the Reno Snaffle Bit Futurity in 2019 and has won numerous futurities and derbies in the Northwest on multiple different horses. Jaton has conducted clinics in Australia, Europe, Dubai, and throughout the United States to help people expand their horsemanship skills. From 2014 - 2019, Jaton played a large role in the Legacy of Legends event, where he not only started c**ts but demonstrated his cowhorse knowledge and ability to take horses into competition. Remaining true to his roots, Jaton utilizes everything he has learned from his Grandpa Ray and puts it to use in every aspect of his horsemanship, from c**ts to competition.

Hello everyone! Just putting it out there that we will be having our next show July 19th-21st! Yes, the date changed because I did not want to interfere with the 4th of July, knowing that everyone has something going on. We will for sure have a team penning this time, but there will be limited spaces as we do not want to overwork our cattle, so sign up as soon as possible to ensure that you will have a spot! How to Sign Up at MRCHA

Hello everyone! I wanted to make sure everyone knew how to sign up! In short, go to my website (the link is on my Facebook/Instagram page). Once you’re there, click on the ‘horse show’ tab, and there will be a drop-down. Click on the ‘Isaiah Standard Cancer Fundraiser’, and all of the entry forms will be on that page. Once you are on the page, click on whichever form you want to sign up for. It will open up in a Google Drive tab, and on the top right corner, there should be a downloading icon. Click on it, and it will download to your computer. Depending on what computer you have, the process will be different. Once you have downloaded the form, you can either print it out or fill it out in the fillable PDF. Once you have filled out your form, email a picture or PDF (depending on how you filled it out) and send it to me at [email protected] (mailto:[email protected])! MRCHA is a non-pro show located in San Luis Obispo, California and our goal is to conquer show anxiety and to improve the horsemanship and showmanship in our riders through competitive riding! Little Riders is a program that helps child cancer patients and children with autism to see the world in a new light with horses.
