Hey there! I'm Randy, a one and a half year-old Pitbull mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart! I'm a strong, high-energy dog who's full of life and, honestly, ready for any adventure you could possibly throw my way! I'm incredibly sweet and loving, but I can very exuberant when I'm excited. I need a savvy, experienced handler who can provide clear boundaries and consistent guidance to help me channel my energy in the right direction. With structure and patience, I'll thrive and bring so much joy to your life.

Let's be real-I'm not the right fit for a first-time dog owner or someone who isn't ready to put in the work. I'm big, strong, and determined, and I need someone just as confident to keep up with me. But if you're up for the challenge, you'll find that I'm as loving and loyal as they come.

Here's the good news: I'm super food-motivated and eager to please, which makes training a lot of fun! I've been working hard on my manners at the shelter, and I'm always ready to learn more. Positive reinforcement and consistent expectations will help me continue growing into the well-behaved dog I know I can be.

I love staying busy, and I'd be the perfect fit for an active person who wants a buddy to share their adventures. Hiking, jogging, or just exploring the world-I'm all in! I thrive with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation to help me burn off my energy and stay balanced.

I'm a one-year-old torti-tabby named Jackie. And boy do I want a forever home! All these wonderful people who work here at Woods come and visit and pet me and let me make muffins all over them, but then they leave. I want to go home with you! I want to ALWAYS make muffins on your tummy, ALWAYS get cheek rubs on demand, and ALWAYS have you near or at least know you're coming home soon from work to be together. If you're looking for a quiet little guy, I'm your man, er, cat. I'm Ben, a light gray little tabby. I'm a bit shy right now, and at one year-old I'm just getting to know what's what. But if you go slow around me you'll find I just love to be petted and will no doubt soon be one of your fondest admirers. I'm not a big guy, which means I'll fit perfectly into your home or apartment and not cause a big geographical fuss. And it also means I'm the perfect little lap cat, able to snuggle cozily while you read or watch tv or nap. That last one is one of my favorite activities and it's even better when we do it together! Donate during our Giving Tuesday Match Challenge today to take the weight off of the shoulders of animals like Dutchess.

Dutchess was a sweet, 2-year-old Labrador who came to us with her health in jeopardy due to excess weight. In addition to her uncomfortably bulked-up stature, she was also suffering from painful, irritated skin. We started her on medication and began a weight-loss plan complete with a prescription diet. After more than two months in the loving care of a foster home, Dutchess began to drop pounds, re-grow her fur, and look and feel much better. Soon, she reached her goal weight, received her spay surgery and was adopted into a loving home. Now, unburdened by extra pounds or sore skin, Dutchess goes on walks on the beach with her family and is enjoying her best life!

TODAY is the DAY: It’s Giving Tuesday! We’d be honored to have your support on this special day of charitable giving to help 2X the animals like Tweetie during our $20,000 Giving Tuesday Match Challenge.

Tweetie came to Woods diagnosed with FIV and sporting a tipped ear, signaling that he had likely been through a community cat TNR program previously. Woods also discovered that he was suffering from a flea allergy and a chronic upper respiratory infection. Our team got to work, shaving him and providing the ongoing medical care needed to restore his health. As his fur began to grow, Tweetie too began to grow on one of our very own veterinarians!

“We adopted Tweetie after our other cat passed suddenly. He has brought so much joy back to our lives! He is very relaxed and confident—he even plays with our dog! We love hearing his unique purr that led to his name. Tweetie is definitely a part of our family now.”
