So happy we picked up this outdoor pen on Facebook marketplace last month. It’s a perfect way for Rooster to get outside time while still being on lockdown post-op.
Look at the size of that incision!!! Perfect for Halloween 🎃 🧟‍♂️

Not good news 😞 Rooster has 2 foreign bodies in his belly, (1 is part of a toy I couldn’t get from him as he looked me straight in the eye as he swallowed it 😳) requiring emergency surgery. He has to stay overnight and I am so sad 🥺

Rooster has been up since 5:00am trying to expel a demon from his tummy. (Actually I think it’s part of a toy he swallowed ) Copious amounts of foamy vomit all over the house 🤮. He’s so sad…
Off to see the Doc this morning. Pray he barfs it up before I pay for an ultrasound 😵‍💫🙏

The abandoned Frenchie mamas are here and they’re a sad hot mess. They were found abandoned on the side of the road. Fawn girl can’t walk so they were clearly dumped there in terrible shape. Mange, allergies, fleas, malnourished, long nails and the wear and tear of nursing multiple litters and cesareans. The fawn colored girl is paralyzed and incontinent, her underside raw from dragging herself along and sitting in urine. The blue girl is missing much of her hair and has an eye ulcer and a cauliflower ear, likely from untreated ear infection.

The girls teeth appear on the younger side but they look and act like very old tired dogs. The blue girl has a microchip but when we called the person said they gave her away a year ago. That may or may not be true.

They’ve been treated for fleas, worms and mange. The long nails have been trimmed, they’ve been fed and cuddled and told they are beautiful and loved. Tonight they sleep on a soft warm bed together inside, as they prefer to be next to each other. There’s another bed next to it so they can move as the one gets soiled by the incontinent fawn girl. Her paralysis is likely caused by a congenital spinal condition common to frenchies called IVDD.

Shadow had his second session yesterday and did SO GOOD!!! His poor dad, for some reason I fall into “stream of consciousness” dog training & just start throwing all of this information at him. He takes pages and pages of notes. We worked on fetching & dropping the ball, leash drills, waiting at the door & politely walking outside. They both did great!!! Until next week!!
