That grumpy little face is her default expression. She’s only happy when Opie’s around. He’s her partner in all the murderous adventures they have at Little Hawk. I’m sorry to say but their kill spree last night involved two baby hummingbirds that we have been watching grow. This is farm life. I accept it, but I should have named them Bonnie and Clyde.

Spring has sprung at Little Hawk and we are all eagerly watching this tiny (probably only 2.5” in diameter) hummingbird nest by Lindsay’s front door. Also, I think that’s a posh little nest made from alpaca fluff. Cosy.

The Little Hawk online shop is part of the Secondsister website. Before buying the ranch I worked as a silversmith which I am continuing now that the ranch is settled a little bit.
