A Shiba and a Bulldog walk into a Dog Daycare and Boarding facility…

Dog trainer asks “Are you a masochist?”
Finishing the question with her signature giggle that you will never forget.

That was my first time meeting the brilliant and bad ASS Liz Randall, and we bonded over our life long love of dogs, horses and basically any animal. She told me how she fell into the dog training world by teaching her little Min Pin, Forrest, how to do agility. Now mind you, she first taught herself agility in order to teach Forrest. That entire sport is ridiculously difficult for a person to try to remember the course. Now let’s add a dog running full speed and staring at their owner for cues for the order of each obstacle. If you have not seen it, GO watch it immediately. It’s some sick ass talent and the connection between the dog and human is unflappable.

Fast forward to her building a training business because she is THAT good. Dog’s Abound, her first Daycare and Boarding facility that was quickly moving in a different direction. She GETS dogs and they respond to her in a way I have never experienced. She was filling up with Board and Train clients because word was spreading of her success with challenging dogs.

When I rescued Smith, he had been through the worst. 5 different homes after he was dumped at a Shelter to be put to sleep. He had serious resource guarding issues - like you can’t walk by his bed without him losing his mind - issues. She came over that day for cocktail hour, you all know I love me some Happy Hour, and told me one thing to do for him to eradicate the resource guarding. She said, add more treats/food, don’t take away. WTF? So simple, was corrected in a week and 4 years now without another episode.

The anecdotal list is so long on the extraordinary work she does with dogs. Her team is solid as a rock and she has hand picked each and every one.

Do yourself a favor, whether it is aggressive tendencies or recall or anything in between, get on their schedule. They travel, they do Zoom consults and will change your life.

Founder Lee Simpson and his wife, Bridey changed my life many years ago. I struggled with crippling insomnia with my Hashimotos made it hard to function. Soul’y bath time chaos coming at cha’.

Ok so here is a little glimpse into my bath time routine. Bath time at our house was a little bit of a chore, 2 dogs and a long haired cat that LOVE to play outside in the grass. 🤪 We are so lucky to have Mr. Suzuki’s Pet Care line for quick and easy process, I mean I got two pets in one tub. 😝

Developed by our wonderful colleagues over at San Diego Canine to Five. 👋 Hi Hiromi and Mr. Suzuki. The Mr. Suzuki pet care line is next level. The ingredient list is minimal - huge for raw feeders because we not only obsess over what they eat, it extends to grooming products, toys, beds and even as far as what detergent we find acceptable. 😂.

The Mr. Suzuki Brand is made in Japan using earth derived ingredients and free from synthetic ingredients and chemical fragrances. Safe for all stages of cats and dogs.

I love it because it comes in a concentrate to be diluted, which means easy rinse and the ability to use shampoo AND conditioner. I have never been able to use conditioner on my Shiba , Jameson - (double coated dog owners you feel me) so that’s a HUGE win 🏆 My cat Gilly only gives me a VERY short window to get the job done before she exits the tub on her own. Smith never smells, barely sheds or gets dirty, so he is a dream ❤️🙏🏻. I use the dry shampoo on him, just to give him a quickie wipe down and clean those adorable floppy ears.
