Hi, my name is Stephanie and I'm the owner of On Paws Professional Pet Services, a professional pet care services company in San Marcos, TX. We absolutely love living in San Marcos. The community is amazing and there is so much to see and do here. I had wanted to start my own pet sitting and dog walking business for years and when I decided to become a stay at home mom in 2015 I realized it was th

e perfect time. I would be able to combine my love of animals and still be able to spend time with my daughter. The business has grown into the family business and my husband and I both run it along with some help from employees. We want to take care of your pets in your home when you are unable to. We offer daily dog walking, pet sitting, potty breaks, as well as boarding and doggy daycare in our new facility and several other pet care services. We will meet with you to create a custom care plan for your pets. Not only will we treat them like our family, we will care for them like you would. We absolutely love animals and have two dogs, Pepper and Gypsy, and a cat, Tigger. I grew up with dogs and cats all of my life and I had experience as a pet sitter for friends and coworkers off and on for 8 years before starting my business. There are so many benefits to using a pet sitter. Pets are able to stay in their own homes where they are most comfortable which reduces anxiety. Our boarding service is also an excellent alternative as it is stay and play style boarding and the dogs have ample time throughout the day to play with other dogs as well as stretch and rest out of their crates. We have two play yards and three play rooms in our climate controlled facility and each dog has their own private, roomy crate with a bed, blanket and crate cover for a cozy boarding experience. We are insured and bonded through Kennel Pro insurance and we are a member of Pet Sitters International and the Texas Pet Sitters Association. At the moment we are serving San Marcos and the surrounding areas within 15 miles of San Marcos. PLEASE BE ADVISED: Since I started this business as a stay at home mom sometimes our daughters may have to join us at visits. We do our best to not bring them, but occasionally it happens. This is a family owned and operated and a family oriented business. They are covered under our liability insurance and we will always keep them by our side and they won't be allowed to wander your home. If we feel there are any concerns for safety at the meet and greet we will not move forward. If this is a concern for you I absolutely understand. I just want to be upfront about that. We can discuss your concerns and see if there is something we can work out if you are uncomfortable with this situation.

We are so devastated about the destruction and lives lost due to the flooding in our central Texas community and imagining all the displaced people and their pets that need help is heartbreaking as well. If you're wondering how you can help, the Humane Society of New Braunfels is taking donations.

We’re collecting donations to support Kerrville Pets Alive as they respond to the disaster in Kerrville and surrounding areas. We will have volunteers assisting us in transporting donations and supplies throughout the week.

DROP-OFF LOCATION & HOURS:
📍Humane Society of the New Braunfels Area (3353 Morningside Dr, New Braunfels, TX 78130)
⏰ Open Monday–Saturday, 10 AM – 5 PM

We’ll be gathering supplies all week during our open hours. Our first supply run is scheduled for tomorrow, and we’re looking for volunteers to help with additional trips as the week continues.

WE ARE COLLECTING:

𝗣𝗲𝘁 𝗘𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀:
• Dog and cat food (dry and canned)
• Dog and cat treats
• Pet shampoo
• Puppy pads
• Martingale collars (all sizes)
• Leashes
• Dog and cat toys (new or gently used)
• Animal transport cages and carriers (in working condition)
• Food and water bowls

𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀:
• Bleach
• Dawn dish soap
• Cleaning supplies
• Paper towels
• Clean towels and blankets (gently used OK)

𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:
• Bottled water
• Single-serving packaged snacks for workers
• Mosquito repellent
• Tarps
• H-E-B gift cards (for pet and human supplies)

If you’re able to grab an extra item—pet food, cleaning supplies, even a toy—it makes a real difference. These donations help bring comfort, care, and a sense of stability to pets and people who have lost everything.

These sweet babies are moving and this past weekend was our last time visiting them. We will miss them so much and hope they love their new home and pet sitter!

Our Story

Hi, my name is Stephanie and I'm the owner of On Paws Professional Pet Services, a professional pet services company in San Marcos, TX. I live in San Marcos with my daughter Giuliana and my husband Jonathan. We absolutely love living in San Marcos. The community is amazing and there is so much to see and do here. I wanted to start my own pet sitting and dog walking business for years and when I decided to become a stay at home mom in 2015 I realized it was the perfect time. I would be able to combine my love of animals and still be able to spend time with my daughter. We want to take care of your pets in your home when you are unable to. We offer daily dog walking, pet taxi to and from appointments, pet sitting, potty breaks, boarding and doggy daycare in my home as well as several other pet care services. I love animals and have two dogs myself, Buttons and Gypsy. We've also added two cats to our growing family. Our daughter named them MeowMeow and Tigger. We love them all! I grew up with dogs and cats all of my life and I have experience as a pet sitter for friends and coworkers off and on for 8 years before starting my business. I’m a member of Pet Sitters International and the International Boarding and Pet Services Association. I’m also trained in pet CPR and First Aid and I’m a certified professional pet sitter through Pet Sitters International. My team is personally trained by me and they do continuing education through FetchFind, an online platform that we utilize to learn more about caring for animals. We are also insured and bonded through Pet Care Insurance. There are so many benefits to using a pet sitter rather than boarding at a kennel. Pets are able to stay in their own homes where they are most comfortable which reduces anxiety and they aren't susceptible to diseases that could linger in kennels. Boarding in my home is also an excellent alternative to boarding in kennels as I only take a few dogs at a time and they are free to run and play all day when we are here. However, for their own safety they will be kenneled in our spacious garage kennels when we are sleeping or away. No pet will be left alone more than 2 hours in our home. If you are outside that service area we may be able to provide service for a small mileage fee. PLEASE BE ADVISED: Since I started this business as a stay at home mom my daughter is with me most of the time. My team does a lot of the visits for the services that we provide outside of my home, but there are times when I am covering visits. In those instances I may have to bring my daughter along with me on visits or meet and greets. She is covered under my liability insurance and I will always keep her by my side and she won't be allowed to wander your home. She is very well behaved and has grown up with animals all her life. If I feel there are any concerns for safety at the meet and greet we will not move forward. If this is a concern for you I absolutely understand. I just want to be upfront about that. We can discuss your concerns and see if there is something we can work out if you are uncomfortable with this situation.
