Luna, the adoptable tri-paw-d!
Luna, also known as Luna Lovebug by her foster, has been in foster recovering after a recent amputation surgery.
Luna's wonderful foster made this amazing video to highlight her and her progress. Luna is moving around great and learning how to be a great household dog. ❤
Here is what her foster has to say about Luna in the home, "Luna is ADAPTABLE! She is lovable and wants to be a part of the family activities whether being outside, riding in the car, going for a walk, sitting on the couch or playing fetch. She quickly adapted to our household and her new environment. She is crate, leash, and potty trained. Medium to low energy level with most energy spent running in the backyard trying to bark away squirrels and large birds. Sweet and protective. Excited when she comes out of the crate with jumps and mouthing on arms and fingers but quickly settles down. Her tri-pod figure does not need any special accommodations except long stairs would be difficult, as well as jumping into a tall vehicle like a truck. She has no problem letting you pick her up. No need to worry about this girl jumping fences or digging holes in the backyard. She simply is perfect as she is! Has interacted with children. Not sure about other dogs or cats."
Luna is a 3-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier mix that weighs about 45 lbs. For more information or to set up a meet and greet with Luna, please email [email protected]!

Sapphire (47761842)
It breaks our hearts to see pets that were adopted from our shelter as puppies or kittens be returned as young adults, especially those that are such sweet companions, like Sapphire (47761842).
This gray Tabby first arrived at our shelter in May 2021, where she waited for a furever family to adopt her for six months. Now that she's back in our care, we don't want to see her sit here for months waiting on the perfect adopter to come along. Now that she's a young adult, she's looking for a home where she can sit back, relax, and enjoy head scratches and lots of snuggles. Sapphire has a cosmetic eyelid deformity that was corrected by our vet partner when she was a kitten that doesn't affect her daily life. She loves Squeeze-Up treats, playing with catnip toys, and exploring new surroundings. Stop by the shelter tomorrow, between noon and 7 p.m., to meet Sapphire! ❤️

We've reached our breaking point here at the shelter and the situation is dire. We will be forced to reduce the dog population currently in our kennels to accommodate for incoming pets if the community does not adopt, foster, or rescue. PLEASE help us.

OVER CAPACITY
HELP NEEDED: We are way over capacity. More dogs and cats are coming in faster than they are leaving. We have every kennel full and more dogs in pop-up kennels around the shelter. Currently, there are 70 cats and 110 dogs available for adoption. You can take home a pet for only $22 and give them a second chance at a full life filled with love while also helping us clear kennel space for other pets in need.
Please spread the word if you're unable to adopt. We must clear kennel space NOW.
