Great review of our XFLO 2.5 protein skimmer!

Love getting customer feedback! Here's a great review from Bob M after he struggled using other "hobby" brands on his home aquarium. RK2 is not just for institutions and professionals. Get professional grade equipment for you home aquarium!

"RK2 Team! You were so helpful to me before I purchased an XFLO 6-2.5 Skimmer that I thought I would provide you with some feedback after just about one week. I have never done this with a manufacturer before but your help to me made a difference.

First, I think I love it! It has not yet fully “broken in” but it has begun to produce skimmate, so more to learn as I continue to use it. I really like that the XFLO 6-2.5 seems to be much more controllable than the other Venturi and needlewheel skimmers previously used. I installed an elbow at the discharge and then used pipe to extend the discharge about a ¼” below the water surface and installed foam at the the top of the vent pipe. I cannot hear the skimmer at all and I see no effect on skimming!

The XFLO 6-2.5 came with a printed manual. Very well documented. It creates understanding, not just an instruction manual. I like that. I wish it was available as a PDF as the paper manual is already getting battered.

I am surprised more is not written about your skimmer in hobbyist forums and not being sold by more vendors. More people should pay attention to it.

Another Happy XFLO customer this week! They were having issues with their needle wheel protein skimmer. They chose the XFLO 2.5 Venturi rated for up to 400 Gallons! The XFLO is currently breaking in and is picture to the right of their old skimmer.
