PHASE 1 "HYBRID" REOPENING STARTS MARCH 28TH, 2022
To All of Our Valued Clients,
As COVID-19 mandates for social distancing and mask-wearing are slowly lifting across our country and, specifically our state, veterinary professionals are attempting to adjust while keeping in mind the safety of the staff as well as the clients and pet patients. It has been quite a journey trying to navigate a "new norm" during the COVID-19 pandemic as your pet health care provider. The entire staff here at Nordahl Pet Clinic genuinely appreciate your patience and understanding of the safety protocols we have enforced as a result of the community COVID-19 pandemic surges and variants. We have continued to keep health and safety guidelines in place as recommended by state and local health government agencies, including the CDC, AVMA, and CVMB.
Although the mask mandates have been lifted in many public settings here in San Diego County and throughout California, effective March 1st, 2022 the California Department of Public Health "recommends everyone wear a face covering in indoor public settings, whether you have been vaccinated or not". Moreover, "face coverings are required for everyone in healthcare settings". Nordahl Pet clinic will continue to operate with the current safety guideline that all staff on site and clients that request entry need to wear a face covering or mask. Our facility size limits us as far as social distancing capabilities, therefore, we ask all of our clients to respect our diligence in trying to limit the potential for pathogen transmission by wearing a mask while inside our clinic.
In order to control the number of clients at any given time in our lobby, we ask that all clients TEXT US UPON ARRIVAL. Whether you are here for your pet's exam appointment with Dr. Choi, a vaccination appointment, or picking up a medication, please let us know you are here before entering our lobby. This will help us to limit the number of clients and staff inside our facility to aid in social distancing with respect to virus transmission. We may ask that clients remain curbside until we have an open exam room for you and your pet(s), depending on the lobby capacity at a given time. It is imperative that we continue to keep in mind the safety of our staff members as we slowly return to a fully open veterinary clinic in what we hope to be the near future. We are still providing curbside service to those clients who request it and we encourage you to consider curbside service requests for quick pick up or drop-off of your pets for/from exams or for Rx medication/food pick up. Please inform us when scheduling your pet(s) appointment(s) whether you would like an "in-person" exam versus curbside service so that we can better plan and accommodate for all of our patients and their pet parents.
At Nordahl Pet Clinic, we strive to offer the best, affordable veterinary care services. We value all of the relationships we have created with you and your pets and understand that the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions have created some challenges in our ability to create a "personal" client experience. We are working toward giving you and their pets the best individual care we can. We ask for your continued patience as there is no veterinary guide book to reopening post-pandemic. And as always, we are extremely grateful for your continued trust for all of your pet care needs.
