Now that I’m rested after a full horse show weekend filled with so much fun and amazing friends I can wrap up our final day and some amazing achievements at the SJPHC NCPHC Fall Color Challenge Horse Show and the Jason Long Performance Horses family.

Starting the day EARLY, prepping 3 longeliners for the morning, I’m so proud of our team for pitching in to help each other get ready. Charlie (All That N Smore) started the show in the Longeline Futurity placing 5th over all. Kathy Peters grabbed the line to show in the Amateur class and then I showed again in the open. Charlie did awesome, showing her true “Marshmellow Mellow.” I can’t wait to get this one under saddle!

Kelly Rhodes and her 2yo mare Cami (iVested) had two nice goes in her longeline classes as we continue prepping her for the IHT and longeline at APHA Western Nationals. This mare has come a long way and I’m absolutely positive she’s destined for big things!

Joplin (One Fancy Rocks Star) owned by my bestie Jaime Foutty crushed the 2yo Longeline with a 1,1,2,2 out of a deeeep class of good babies. I’m super proud of this baby!

We finished the day with huntseat as Joanna Condos rode her way to unanimous wins in the Amateur W/T Hunter Under Saddle showing just how versatile and graceful Scribbly really is. This team has really come together and I can’t wait to see where we go next season.

Finishing strong at this show Joanna ended up High Point Amateur Walk Trot with Jessica Tate finishing a strong 5th with some pretty amazing rides as well. My personal favorite is the clean sweep in BOTH the Walk Trot Showmanship by Jessica and the Amateur Showmanship from Joanna. These girls mean business!! And we can’t forget Charlie bringing home the Reserve High Point Yearling. WOW….What a show!!

I’m also super excited for Maria Faria! Although we didn’t show, her new mare Emma came to her first show with us and rode like a champ. Keep an eye out for this amazing new team at future shows.

Thanks to all the volunteers and leaders who pulled this show together. It’s never an easy task! And a special thanks to each and every person who showed their horses and shared their friendships and support with each and every competitor. Making horse shows fun and friendly is the way we continue to grow and succeed. Keep it up, and we will see everyone at the next one!

What a great day for a horse show! The weather started out a bit questionable here at the SJPHC NCPHC Fall Color Challenge Horse Show but turned out beautiful as we ended the show day with a BBQ dinner with all our chosen horse family.

The classes were deep today with some amazing Showmanship and Horsemanship patterns from everyone. I’m especially proud of the Jason Long Performance Horses family as Joanna Condos and Scribbly, Jessica Tate and Memphis, and Kathy Peters and Charlie all had the best show day ever!!

It’s the final push to prep for the SJPHC NCPHC Fall Color Challenge Horse Show with a bit of trail practice today. With all these IHT (in hand trail) ponies I’ve got I definitely need my own conditioning as well!! Joanna Condos and Jessica Tate we’ve got work to do!! Kathy Peters Kelly Rhodes and Jaime Foutty, I’m gonna need extra oxygen!!

Thanks to my wonderful (not a horse person) husband Nikos Gkitsas and our amazing barn owner Tami Thompson for their hard work tonight in bringing our last baby of the season into the world!! Congrats to Kharma on her Salt On The Rocks AQHA / APHA sorrel overo rabicano filly we have already named Kari. I can’t wait to get home from this show tomorrow night and meet this gorgeous girl!!
