💙HAPPY TAILS - BOONE💙

BOONE, previously known as Stan the Man, was on the euthanasia list at a high kill shelter in the Central Valley. Fostering saves lives, and because we had a foster, we were able to save him.

During Boone’s routine neuter surgery, he was found to have a urethral prolapse which needed immediate attention. Click this link for Boone’s emergency post https://www.facebook.com/100067200971171/posts/861538886096136/?mibextid=wwXIfr

Boone recovered well and during this time, his foster dad fell in love with this squishy-faced boy, and the family decided that he was a great fit for them and wanted to adopt him. This is a foster WIN for sure!

The Fiack family have been fostering for us for many years, so this was a huge decision. They still have two of our AARF puppies (Harry and Charlie) that are waiting to find their own forever homes, and they will continue to foster for us in the future.

Boone is a lucky boy, he is going to have a wonderful life and we can’t wait to get updates and more photos of his ever growing wardrobe 💙

Merry Christmas from Buddha! 🎄

Our beloved alumni, Buddha, stopped by to visit us at the kitty adoption playroom this Saturday. It was such a joy to see him! Buddha is the heart and face of AARF, and his photo continues to light up our website.

Our Spices Litter will be making their big debut this Saturday! Allspice and her 6 kittens are now ready for adoption. Come meet them and many other wonderful kitties who are hoping for a home for the holidays.

At the AARF Adoption Playroom, you can interact and play with our kitties and see if there’s a perfect match for you. No appointments necessary and there are no entrance fees to visit.

🐾🩷🐾 HAPPY TAILS - FOXY 🐾🩷🐾

After 15 months with AARF, our quirky smirky Foxy has found her perfect match! She LOVES to be an only cat and is joining a rescue dog sister in her new home. Foxy came to us at just 2 months old with one of the worst attack injuries we had ever seen. The bites went literally through her head and jaw, so it's amazing she has her sight and no residual issues besides her signature smirk. She was also one of our many 2023 blood transfusion kitties. Her foster family will miss her dearly but we are so happy for her new life!

Most of our kitties we save are from euthanasia at shelters both locally and surrounding areas, as well as found orphaned, sick or abandoned right here in our own community. Our rescuers and our fosters pour every bit of love and care into all of our rescues and we are always so overjoyed when they join their new families. Want to learn more about adoption or fostering? 🐾💙🐾 HAPPY TAILS - KIRBY 🐾💙🐾

Sweet Kirby’s journey took a little detour, but it led him straight to his perfect forever home!

Returned to us through no fault of his own, we initially thought we’d found the right match for him—but sometimes things just don’t work out. When Kirby came back, one of our amazing foster families stepped up to give him a temporary place to stay. Within a few days, they let us know that they were happy to foster him until he found his forever home.

Fast forward another couple of months, and Jacqui and John decided Kirby was already home! They wanted to adopt him and be his forever family 💙 This is called a foster WIN!

Kirby has a brother, his name is Cooper, they are best friends and love being together. We’re beyond grateful to Jacqui and John, not only for their incredible love and care but also for fostering both pups and kitties for AARF. As an AARF Alumni family, they’ve opened their hearts time and time again, and Kirby is now the lucky pup who gets to stay forever.

Kirby has become Jacqui’s little shadow, following her everywhere. He’s silly, playful, and full of love, always ready for a snuggle. This joyful, happy boy truly hit the jackpot—and so did his humans. 💙

Rescue Story Update - HAZEL

This sweet little torti kitten has been through so much since her rescue, but she’s a fighter! She has had multiple procedures and surgeries to help her very damaged eyes, and while she will never have aestically perfect looking eyes because her corneas are permanently scarred, when we rescued her she was totally blind and now she can see!! It has been a huge medical challenge so we are so happy we’ve been able to give her the gift of sight!

She is also 100% capable of everything a cat with full sight can do. She loves to play with her foster friends by running, jumping and climbing and even going out in her foster home’s catio! Nothing stops her from enjoying life!

Hazel is one of our perfectly-imperfect kitties and she deserves a home that also believes that you don’t have to look perfect, to be perfect. She is ready to find her meant to be forever family now. We want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone that donated to AARF for !! We have such an incredible community of animal advocates, rescuers, networkers, fosters, caretakers, volunteers, adopters and donors. Everyone coming together to raise much needed funding to help us continue our rescue efforts into 2025. We did not meet our fundraising goal, but there’s still time to help - donations can be made anytime at our website at aarflove.org/donate. We appreciate your support so much.

For anyone looking to continue the giving spirit of the holidays, there are many other opportunities to make a difference. We are All Animal Rescue & Friends, and you may know us as AARF. You may also know of our hard work and our absolute commitment to helping as many animals as we can throughout our area, and beyond. We are tagged on social media and called and messaged for urgent help, every single day. We say ‘yes’ as often as possible but in order to be able to say yes, we must have the funding available to support our work and the 100+ animals in our care at all times.

We intake so many sick and injured animals and it takes an enormous toll on our budget and limits our ability to serve more animals that desperately need us. Now more than ever, we need the support of our community to help us continue our lifesaving work.

Medical care is AARF’s biggest expense! Sometimes we know what we are getting into, sometimes we don’t. This year we rescued more than a few animals that needed more medical care than we had anticipated. Sweet kitties like Turtle needing treatment for FIP and adorable pups like our Royals Litter that came to us with parvo, are just a few. PLEASE consider donating this giving season to help all the animals that come into our care - they all deserve a second chance at life.

Today we reflect on how thankful we are to be a part of an incredible animal loving community who continue to rise up when we need them most.

To all of you that alert us to an animal in need, to our medical support teams who make it possible for us to do life saving work, to our foster families who take in the broken, sick, and scared animals into their homes to heal their bodies and their hearts, and to our adoptive families that have given our animals a fresh start… We THANK YOU! It truly takes a village to help rescue these helpless animals, and ours is extraordinary. For that we are grateful. HAPPY THANKSGIVING, AARF community!
