Big shoutout and a huge thank you to the amazing team at Le Pooch for taking in about 40 of our dogs over the past year and giving them all kinds of incredible makeovers! 🐾✨

Their generosity knows no bounds, and we’re beyond grateful for the love and care they provide our pets. It’s truly heartwarming to know they do this out of the kindness of their hearts. 🐶❤️

Meet Erick and Ericka, these little angels are the dynamic duo of cuteness!

These two 2-month-old kittens have a bit of an adventurous streak—they were surrendered after repeatedly attempting to jump off the second story of their house.🙃

But don’t worry, they’ve decided to stick to safer ground now. These best buds are a bonded pair, and they must be adopted together. Erick and Ericka rely on each other for all the love, comfort, and (hopefully) less risky thrills. Ready for twice the fun, twice the purring, and zero second-story jumping? Come meet them today! 🐾💖

We did it- 5,004 animals neutered in 2024!!!

Though we reunite as many lost pets with their families as possible and find homes for furbabies who need new ones, there is an overwhelming number of animals entering shelters everywhere, making this goal especially challenging.

By preventing unwanted or unplanned litters we are helping to shape a future where every pet is loved and cared for and those few who find themselves displaced always have a person searching for a companion just like them.

Help us make it happen! We've accomplished a lot but there are still MANY families waiting for their pets to receive this service. Every pet or community cat being spayed or neutered receives microchip identification, vaccinations and flea control to get them off to a healthy start. Your donation is needed to help us to continue to raise the bar and do more in 2025!

UPDATE: Thank you to everyone who offered to help transport- What an amazing community we have! Sadie hitched a ride Sunday and has been reunited with her family! Happy New Year to Sadie and all who helped her on her journey!

Are you headed to Las Vegas to celebrate the New Year? How about getting your last good deed in for 2024 along the way?

Our longest stay pet, Sadie, has been here since July 25 (5 months)! Though she has demonstrated a level of cattitude here that has been a barrier to her finding a family (doling out skippity paps to both visitors and fellow cats on the regular), she does have someone who knows her and loves her in Las Vegas, who has not been able to get here to reunite with her.

If you are headed that way or are willing to make a trip to help Sadie, please e-mail [email protected] or call us at (408) 686-3901. All of the other cats in the cat room will be so grateful (Sadie, too, she probably just won't show it).

Not everyone can adopt, but this is another great way to help shelter pets.

Next Generation of Animal Advocates!!

We want to send a special thank you to the Ray family! Not only did they make lots of scarves for the dogs they also raised $500.00 in donations for the animals! These young animal lovers give us great hope for the future and we are so grateful!!

Thank you Ray family for supporting shelter pets like Sable (pictured) who is in need of “cherry eye” surgery.

We’ve had many folks be very generous to our shelter pets and we are thankful for the support! With your help we are able to save more lives and provide extra TLC to the pets in our care while they await their new journey!

Happy Holidays Everyone!!

HOORAY, TEAM RUNE!!!............................................
Needing a Holiday Miracle!

Friends!

We desperately need help for a special dog named, Rune!

Rune came to us 52 days ago very distant and terrified, he would hide under his bed and try to climb the walls to get away. Needless to say it was heartbreaking to see him struggle. Rune has made some Improvements and is now taking treats softly for the hands of staff and allows soft pets as he passes by. Whenever we try to place a leash on him, he becomes overwhelmed with fear.

Sadly, we know nothing about Rune’s previous life or why he’s so fearful. Rune has reached his highes potential within the environment we have to offer him and frankly, he needs out of the shelter in order to thrive. Rune needs the opportunity to be outside of this environment so he can continue to improve and thrive.

We are reaching out to our animal loving community and pleading for an adopter or rescue to help our boy, Rune! We are holding out hope that we can find him a miracle this holiday season!

Please help us spread the word and find Rune a home!!

Rune’s stats:
Very cute!
Neutered male
Petite, 30 pounds
Flashy markings!
Did we say very cute?!
Seems interested in other dogs…

Thank you!!

Happy update- Beth has been adopted!!!

Wishing for A Holiday Miracle!!

Friends!

We need your help! One of our shelter dogs Beth is in desperate need of a home. She has been with us for several months now and she is done with the shelter life! Beth is a sensitive soul that needs stability and someone to trust! She has made friends with several of our staff and volunteers.

Beth, has been overlooked for months now. When you initially meet her she isn’t the wiggly type. She takes some time to warm up and needs to get to know you first. She had had two separate provoked bite incidences that she reacted when she was picked up while she wasn’t ready to be held (we can provide more details).

We are looking for an adopter or rescue that can see Beth for the sensitive soul that she is and give her the chance to show you over time how she can be.

Beth has reached her threshold of living in the shelter and desperately needs placement. She is currently receiving anti-anxiety to help her cope with her environment. In order to honor Beth’s wellbeing and humane welfare, we urgently need a new opportunity. Please reach out to us if you’re interested in adopting or reaching Beth.

Beth’s Stats:
1 yr old
Spayed- female
30.00 pounds
Cattle dog mix❤️

Please feel free to reach out if you’re interested in helping Beth.

Please help us Share and spread the word to help Beth find a miracle for the Holidays!
