The purpose for this is to bring the future into the present so everyone has clarity on the type of facility we are building now. Sharing this with all members of the team and anyone interested in having a relationship with this facility will make it a reality. I believe people interested in working with HDEC either as a client, partner or employee will read this and be clear if the involvement wi
th this facility is something that fits into their life style and future.
-What I do- Why I “do what I do” is because I whole heartedly believe you never stop learning. Every aspect of horses health, mental and physical, is something that never stops evolving. I have made a facility where horses lives will be improved by educating, not only professionals but more importantly horse owners. I love seeing peoples “light bulb” moments and seeing results that make a difference in horses quality of life.
-What I see for 2015-2016- I see new barns, new round pens, fresh paint, landscaping, new roofing, safe fencing, meticulously up-kept grounds, refreshed footing in all round pens and arenas, irrigated pastures, retired horses, pregnant horses, rehabilitating horses, young horses, and horses in training. I see a facility run in a professional, fun environment. Safe for horses and their owners to come improve the quality of life they currently exist in, from a mental and physical standpoint.
-What I hear- I hear from owners and professionals from all disciplines and situations how remarkable facility is. I hear that the owners of the facility take pride in what they do, and that it shows. I hear that the staff and existing program owner/managers are top notch, professional, accommodating & friendly. I hear that the horses on the property are cared for as one of their own. I hear this is the “go-to” facility in California, ever growing in amenities and program availability. I hear vets, farriers, and trainers constantly recommend HDEC as the place to go to improve the whole horse. I hear the clinics that are held are both educational and fun, that new friendships through common desire to improve well being of horse and owner alike are constantly built, I hear how happy the employees are to be a part of a facility that has a strong influence on the horse community. I hear they are treated fairly and are clear about their part in the HDEC family. I hear they are an example of how to properly care for their own horse(s). They are proud of the job they do and hold integrity in their every task. I hear the program owners/managers all have impressive communication skills and everyone is in the loop and supports each other’s programs. I hear that everyone respects each other’s boundaries and businesses and that there is no pettiness and gossip. I hear the staff remains respectful of the professionals that work out of HDEC, their personal opinions/experiences will be kept to themselves and there are no slanderous words spoken against anybody else’s businesses. I hear laughter and music all day!
-My Part- My part is to be a center point in which the facility is ran from. I am open minded and clear about my thoughts, opinions, and decisions. I am known as someone that will hold people accountable for doing what they need to do in order to successfully reach their goals. People will trust me because I say what is on my mind. People say I am a breath of fresh air because they don’t have to wonder what I really mean. I say things others are afraid to say. I am honest in what I do know and what I don’t know and am perfectly comfortable not always having the answer, but am ecstatic to have amazing resources to refer people to. I am known as someone people are not afraid to talk to and ask for help.
-My Mentors- I connect constantly to my mentors to improve my abilities as a trainer and a business owner. I firmly believe in learning from others mistakes. My pride in this facility and what I do professionally is what keeps me humble. I am a forever student, I am comfortable making changes and taking advise from people who have “been there, done that”.
-Profitability- I continue to be profitable doing exactly what I love. My revenues have grown %100 over the year.
-How I feel- I feel proud. I keep a healthy balance in personal/family/professional life. I feel relaxed and comfortable in all the decisions I make in the company. I feel present and choose to let worry take a back seat so that I continue to grow from a place of positive energy. Surrendering to the experience and knowing every decision I make, wrong or right, is pushing us forward and making the facility into what it is meant to be either by seeing what doesn’t work or by seeing what does. I feel no pressure to make all the “right” decisions. I go with my gut.
-Core Values- Do what I love- Have pride in what I create, safety and quality care at the top of my priorities-Do what I say, always keeping integrity in my commitments-Move forward fearlessly with faith in my decisions-Know that keeping myself authentic will keep me in the right frame of mind and keep the facility growing and thriving!
