The art... and the artist! 🦷✂️

Marty, my foster child has been really interested in blanket shredding "art", sometimes he gets his shreds all tied together in one giant knot. Art, right? 🤣

Anyways, because Marty is such a talented artist, I'm looking for more blankets to keep the pigs toasty during the winter months. They LOVE blankets and love to burrow in them, specially when it's chilly out. If you have some blankets that you're looking to donate, my little kiddos would absolutely love them. We also never turn down gently used dog beds because Marty also makes art out of the beds after awhile. No holey dog beds please, the artist won't be able to resist himself! 🤦🏼‍♀️ Send a text/ pm and we can coordinate blanket drop off/ pick up! We're located in San Tan Valley, AZ. 💛

My boys, Arnie and Mugsy went to middle school today! 🎒

They had a great time soaking up all the attention and snacks! These boys were able to teach kids about pigs and how they make great family companions. I think the kids enjoyed their company! Arnie is old enough to walk himself to class, Mugsy said "I'll take the stroller, thank you." 😂

Marty (the black pig) has the thickest coat of the herd by far, I think Dave (the salt and pepper pig) is second for being hairy! Marty's coat bounces when he runs and gets even bigger and puffy when he's cold. 😍🐽

Pigs are such incredible animals—intelligent, affectionate, and full of personality. They each have their own quirks that make them so unique, and I can’t get enough of their snuggles and sass!

Losing my dog, Quincy has left a hole in my heart that words can't describe. The sadness has been hard to carry, but it seems I'm not carrying it alone. The pigs have definitely noticed the heaviness in my soul- they snuggle with me every chance they get, as if they know I need their love more than ever right now. Animals have such an incredible way of sensing our pain and reminding us that we're not alone. 💔
All the pigs loved Quincy, he was the perfect big brother to so many pigs including foster pigs. A few were really close with him and are still grieving over Q, it's absolutely heartbreaking. All the pigs were off for the first few weeks after he passed away, they knew. I have endless pictures from the pigs loving on me since Quincy's passing, I'm not sure I appreciated it in the moment right after losing Q, but I definitely do now. ❤️‍🩹

Today was my first pig rescue since Quincy passed away, I'll be honest... My heart hasn't been in it since Quincy's passing. I felt compelled to help, the thought of him being out in the cold in a high coyote area made my heart sink. Off to the cotton fields we went...

I took Arnie with since he can be off leash and will stay close, he's not a very confrontational pig either. My hope was Arnie would lure him in so I could catch him since this loose pig was roaming around several acres of unfenced cotton fields. There's no way you can out run a loose pig in a large area who is trying to not get caught! The stray pig took off so I got Arnie out and we walked and walked until we got eyes on him again and close enough that he noticed Arnie. Arnie walked him about a half mile back to the truck and crate, he did a great job! The loose pig stuck around which I was told he previously wouldn't hang out at all and wouldn't get close to the people who have been trying to help him to safety, thanks to Arnie! This pig was so curious and obsessed with Arnie that it really worked out well in my favor, I think he was so excited to see another pig!

This little man who I have yet to name is hanging out in my bathroom until we can locate an emergency foster, if you're interested in fostering please let me know! AZ Piggy Network is taking him in and will get him medical care and neutered before he's able to adopted. He's nervous and terrified of people right now which is totally to be expected. The time to decompress will be everything for him. He has a happy and safe future ahead of him all because a concerned animal lover sought out help to get this babe to safety. A friendly reminder, if you see something, say something! 🐽💛
