Winning Wednesday! 🏆🐎💦 Sweating is good!

One of the reasons many horses misbehave is that they are overfed and underworked. 🥕➡️💪

If you believe that causing your horse to work so hard he sweats is not good for him, I’d recommend considering differently. 🤔💭

I believe working with your horse up to a sweat from time to time is good for them, just like it’s good for us to exercise to that level of intensity. 🏃‍♂️🔥🐴

Training Tip Tuesday! 🐴➡️ Start and Stop Your Sidepass Perpendicular to the Fence.

When first teaching the Sidepass on the ground, use the fence to control forward motion. Before you start and when you stop the exercise, make sure your horse is facing perpendicular to the fence. 🏇⬅️➡️

This will make your Sidepass much crisper and cleaner, especially when you no longer need the fence to stop forward motion. ✅🔥

🔥 Motivational Monday! Don’t force things. 🐴💡

“Forcing anything will usually get us to the wrong place faster.” - Warwick Schiller

In horsemanship, when I try to force a horse to go, stop, turn, or bend, things always get worse. ❌ The horse overreacts, gets scared or frustrated, and falls apart mentally and emotionally. 😟🐎

However, when I ask for movement with patience, consistency, and rhythm, horses begin to make real progress. ✅✨

The same goes for life—forcing things rarely works. But with patience, consistency, and certainty, success will come at the right time! ⏳🌿
