Blanche did a great job at her final session! She was showing signs of resource guarding of her food with her owners. She was growling every time they got close to her while she was eating. Though she hasn’t bitten, it could lead to that if not addressed. They are now able to get her to mentally disengage from her food with no issues. Great job!

We woke up today with Atlas’s face puffing and hives over his body. He was fine last night so this shows how fast an allergic reaction can happen. His eyes were almost closed shut from the inflammation as well. If your dog has an allergic reaction like this, definitely take them to the vet immediately. He got a few shots to counter the reaction and he’s doing great.

Obi the Great Dane is ready for training! Great Danes can weigh up to 180lbs so structure and control is needed when owing this breed. They are great protectors and overall amazing dogs. 🌵

The first ingredient in dog food will tell you if it’s a good brand or not. If the first ingredient is chicken meal, beef meal, etc. It’s definitely a brand I would stay away from. You might have to do some research to see which brands are good and what fits your budget but your dog will thank you for it. 👍

Did you know that Schnauzers come in 3 different sizes? Shadow here is a Miniature Schnauzer. They can be about 11-20 lbs. They are the most common size we train.

The standard size weigh about 30-50lbs.

The Giant Schnauzer can get up to 85lbs. They are definitely on my Top 5 list of dogs not recommended for beginner dog owners or owners who don’t have experience with bigger dogs.

There’s a lot reasons to not take your dog to the dog park. Not all dogs are able to play with each other because of different temperaments, ages, gender and energy level. Different breeds also have different play styles. Boxers like to slap box with other dogs. Cane corsos like Scarlet and Ava like to go all out. Sometimes it can seem like they are fighting with each other but that’s just how they play. They love rough play and other breeds are not use to playing like that. 🌵🎃

Cooper working on his down command on place. Both him and his sister lose their minds when guests come over. Working on his mindset around the place command will be critical.

Lilith is a Cane Corso we have been working with that has major anxiety. She didn’t even want to walk on a leash with me when she got here. While her anxiety can still come out at times. Her progress has been fantastic.
