“Hi Family Loved Labs,

We wanted to give you an update on Obi! He handled the six-hour drive home like a champ and has settled into our home quickly. He’s full of energy and curiosity, keeping us laughing with his antics and puppy zoomies. At the same time, he’s incredibly affectionate, always curling up at our feet no matter where we sit—a habit we already adore.

He’s very curious about our two cats, though they’re still keeping their distance. We’re taking it slow and hope they’ll warm up to him soon.

Obi absolutely loves being outside, especially in the snow! He’s growing fast, and his personality is shining more each day.

We couldn’t be happier with him—thank you for entrusting us with such a wonderful pup! We’ll keep you updated as he grows.

“Hello! I hope your Christmas and New Years were great. I meant to send updates more than this, but life gets in the way. I wanted to send a photo of Ruby from her 1 year birthday and share a little about her.

Ruby's favorite things are people, other dogs, and food. In that order. She is incredibly gentle with the kids which has been nice since she quickly outgrew our 2 year old daughter. They love to run around and play together and she has a different way of playing with both of the kids.

She loves visitors. It could be family or friends stopping by, or a random stranger. She acts like everyone is her long lost friend. She often gets to play with other dogs in the neighborhood and always wears herself and them out having fun. She goes hard with her puppy energy and then crashes just as hard.

She is a very cautious dog in new situations. Once she feels safe, she has no fear. She even sat outside with us on the 4th to light fireworks. We had to keep her from chasing them down.

Her color has mostly stayed the same, maybe gotten a little darker. She weighs about 65 pounds now. She has a beautiful bushy tail like her mom had. Everyone compliments us on how good looking she is wherever we go!

She has been such a blessing on our family. She is loved and has a good life.

“Happy New Year!

I cannot thank you all enough for giving me the gift of such a perfect puppy ❤️

Marigold has settled in so well to her new life! I am amazed with how she moves into new situations and challenges with so much confidence. She's a silly girl for sure! But nothing seems to get her down. Miss Mari has done so well socializing with other puppies at Puppy Club, the trainers have requested her to come more often because she brings such a great dynamic to the group. In fact, the trainers are so enamored with her that they just had to know her breeder! Of course, I was happy to share.

She has done phenomenal at potty and crate training (only woke me up 2 times last night to potty with zero crying!) She even rings a bell at my back door to be let out to potty during the daytime. Marigold has made a good friend with my pal's service dog, Blossom, they play wonderfully together, and Blossom is great at showing her how to be a good girl.

“Happy New Year!
I meant to send the yearly Elsa Christmas Letter before Christmas and here we are!

Elsa's 10th year was her best yet! She didn't eat a single cat toy and give herself pancreatitis so that was a win. She is looking great and at her check up in the spring everyone was very impressed with her youthfulness. I think she's getting younger every year.

She is still the favorite of all cats which she's not a big fan of.

Elsa walks every day in the neighborhood and on the weekend she does a three miler (or more) out on the trails. She LOVES her walks. My friend commented that she always looks like she's smiling whenever we go out. She especially loves her walks in the fall and winter. She does NOT like the heat but loves snow. Especially the soft snow that she can stick her face right in. She runs and her favorite thing in the neighborhood is to chase rabbits--there are a LOT of them out in the morning and she goes after every one she sees. She can't catch them but she does enjoy the sport.

Her other favorite thing is to go outside and rub her head on the side of the house or right at the base of the foundation. This results in a very dirty head and I attached a picture of her looking quite pleased with herself. She has also taken to begging in the kitchen . I did NOT start this bad habit. My husband and his love of meat and cheese did. Now when the refrigerator door opens a dog magically appears. When Elsa's stomach clock goes off for her dinner she generally flops down in the middle of the kitchen floor weak from starvation.....😂😂😂.

We love her more every day, if that's even possible. I'm sending some pictures so you can see her yourselves. I keep meaning to get a video of her running-maybe next year--I hope I didn't send duplicates from last December. This year I'm going to take more and better pictures of Elsa in the wild.

She is the best dog in the world. I know you think the dogs you have there are the best, but you'd be wrong!!! It's our Elsa.

Happy New Year. I hope you have a great year with puppies and all the dogs and all the things there.

Hope the holiday has been a good time for your family...and your amazing dogs 🙂 We love Johnny and Dany...and they are so kind to each other. They share bones, food etc. and love to do things together. Dany is the most "people centered" Lab we have ever had. Everyone who visits loves them...and Dany and Johnny love everyone. We so appreciate all the love and training you put into your Labs. We mention FLL frequently in pet stores, hiking etc when people wonder why the dogs are so calm and well-behaved...... and refer them to your website!

The first pictures were way back in the fall...Johnny's birthday, before both opened gifts and got their treats! The second was also fall hiking at Split Rock. The third, of course, is Christmas. These two are the BEST...thank you!

“Hello!

I just wanted to let you know that Gus (Kiley/Max-Male 1) is settling in great! He absolutely loves the snow and has no fear of just jumping into the mounds I’ve shoveled off the patio. He’s a smart, very confident boy and we love him. He’s quickly learned what door we go out for potty breaks and when he’s all done and ready to go in he goes back to the door and sits to let me know he’s ready. No amount of coaxing will move him from the door when he’s all done. 🙂 I included a picture of him at the door, paws on the sill. He turned his head as I was taking it. Our Terrier (Kona) has done well with him too and he follows her anywhere she goes. I think they’ll be good pals. We will send more updates in the future.

Moose is Larissa's boy, and he is most at home when he is spending time with her daughter - exploring mud puddles, finding new leaves, making memories as a girl with her dog. He will go anywhere little girl goes.

Let’s all be like our Labs…. Finding joy in even the small things in our lives 🥰🐾❤️ “Good Morning, here is Clover. We got her from you just about a year ago…… Clover is a great dog! She is very smart! She went to a trainer for hunting and rocked it!! She is a perfect size! Only 52 pounds!”

Sweet updates on Puppy Kindergarten graduate - Rosie (Luna x Chase puppy) “I have to share a couple of pictures of sweet Rosie! She is absolutely amazing. We took her to her first puppy class tonight. The trainer was totally blown away - said she was the most outstanding Lab she has seen in the past 10 years! And there are tons of Labs out here!! She learns so fast!!! Thank you for all you do for providing us with the perfect family member!!❤️🙏🏻🐾 …..We are so thrilled with her behaviors!! She’s amazing!! I’ll send you little videos occasionally so Charlotte can see her puppy grow up!! She is amazingly well behaved!! Did you train her not to jump up on people from the beginning?? She’s the first dog we’ve had that doesn’t!! Not even once or close to!! And she’s learned to sit across the room for her food until we release her with “OK”, she’s in the verge of learning to shake hands when we let her in from outside and give her a treat; she had only two little accidents in the house the first 24 hours. I’m working on getting to ring our string of bells when she needs to go out!! She’s a dynamite retriever - great recall when we call or whistle. Sleeps through the night most nights unless she naps too much. She sits on command or like you said - when she wants something!! Excellent in the car with no crate. We got a harness and seat belt type tether to keep her safe. I could go on - just an all around, well adjusted pup!! Has her Zummie moments and Lacey is getting better with her. Rosie “respects” her and is cautious but warming up!! It’s just all good. I can’t tell you how happy we are that we didn’t get an 8-week old dog!! I’m filling out the AKC paperwork today to send in - I love having the pedigrees! Thanks again for your expertise and making sure your breeding is top-shelf!! 🙏🏻😍🏅😍🙏🏻”
